BBC Radio 5 live (as quoted on web text):

Olivier Giroud's hamstring has just gone. He is flat on his back and in some pain and looks like Arsenal will lose him for sometime.

(So not 'official', just commentator's observations)

Lanzini is facing a two-match ban. (effectively 1 game ban for fantasy games)

West Ham and Lanzini have until 6pm on Tuesday to decide whether to accept a two-match ban or to contest the charge.

Sky Sports News understands the Independent Regulatory Commission would review and decide before West Ham's Carabao Cup quarter-final match against Arsenal at the Emirates on Tuesday.

REMINDER - The 5 yellow card ban deadline has passed. There are now no more potential bans... unless you get to 10 (in the next 13 games)
Latic wrote: 18 Dec 2017, 15:44 There was some previous confusion regarding the cut-off for 5 yellow card suspensions. This has been clarified today by the FA. The deadline is inclusive of this weekends matches (assuming they all take place) and not 31st December.

Lukaku Concussion

Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann stretchered off in the 1st half v Man City with what looks like a bad knee injury after mistiming a tackle.

Gabriel Jesus also limped off in the 1st half with a leg injury after over stretching.

In injury time Kevin de Bruyne stretchered off with leg injury after heavy tackle from Jason Puncheon who was also taken off on a stretcher due to a leg injury after that collision.

Guardiola: “Gabriel Jesus is injured, he will be out for maybe one month of two months.” #MCFC

[presume that should be an 'or' at the end, not an 'of']

EDIT - Slightly more from the Citeh website:

Jesus: “Hopefully he will be one month, maybe two months he will be out,"

KdB: Guardiola says the Belgian’s injury isn’t as bad as perhaps was initially feared but admits he is unlikely to play against Watford in two days’ time. "With Kevin we have been lucky in the past with what has happened from the same actions. I don’t know what will happen in the future. “He may not be ready for Watford in a few days.”

Moreno, Sturridge and Moreno all on road to recovery but not available yet.

(PS Coutinho still out for Barce for those who thought Liverpool were lying about his recent injury)

No Dijk to stop leaks?

Post by SamD »

Virgil van Dijk is set to miss Liverpool's Premier League showdown with Manchester City at Anfield today.
The £75million centre-back has been hampered by a tight hamstring and is unlikely to be risked against the leaders.

As a result Dejan Lovren is expected to be recalled by Jurgen Klopp to start alongside Joel Matip against City.
That's the pairing which conceded five in the fixture between these sides at City in September.

Swansea City midfielder Leroy Fer and striker Wilfried Bony have both been ruled out for the rest of the season.

Both players require surgery after suffering injuries in Swansea's 1-1 draw at Leicester City.

Fer, who was stretchered off in the first half, has ruptured his Achilles.

Bony, a summer signing from Manchester City, will also need an operation after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament.

Sigurdsson will see a specialist this evening to determine a timeframe for recovery from the knee injury .... could be sidelined for several weeks but it will only be after consulting with the specialist that a definitive timeframe will be known.

“Harry [Kane] twisted his ankle. We’ll see tomorrow after a scan.

“Danny [Rose] and Dele [Alli] were knocks and fatigue, not a problem.”
