New season premier league fixtures

Post by liquidfootball2 »

A tough start for Emery with City first up and then Chelsea

Opening day fixtures

Bournemouth v Cardiff City

Arsenal v Manchester City

Fulham v Crystal Palace

Huddersfield Town v Chelsea

Liverpool v West Ham United

Manchester United v Leicester City

Newcastle United v Tottenham Hotspur

Southampton v Burnley

Watford v Brighton

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Everton

Newcastle seem to have drawn the short straw with opening fixtures similar to the nightmare ones Everton had last season

Newcastle have

Spurs home
Cardiff away
Chelsea home
City away
Arsenal home
Palace away
Leicester home
United away

Normally see us through rose tinted specs, but this time if transfer news is true its a huge change all are very combative, in my view we will know after first few games how we will go pleased with way fixture list has treated us.

We have Chelsea home, City away first two fixtures.

Not great on paper but as virtually their entire squads will have World Cup hangovers, it's really not a bad time to play them.

I wondered why Spurs were playing their first home game at Wembley. Fulham obviously not good enough for the debut of their new ground so waiting for Liverpool to christen it properly!

Liverpool seem to be getting their big games in mini-batches. A few times they play 2 on the bounce or 2 in 3, even a 3 in 4. Rotation options for (T)FF....
