Great win for Silviniaco Conti and Oscar Whisky looked decent today.

Hennessy and the Long Distance went well. Shame about the fighting fifth. This could be the year when a triumph winner is better than a Supreme winner

SS in 12 of my 15. Awesome performance.

Big race in Ireland tomorrow - Flemenstar v Sir Des Champs. This could shake up the Gold Cup betting enormously. Personally over 2 1/2 I'd favour the former but over another 6f it would be SdC every time in my book.

Flemenstar ran out an impressive winner from Sir Des Champs in the John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase.

Yes, the turn of foot round the home bend was the clincher. Had the advantage of a previous run and distance to suit IMO but very impressive. Connections of the runner up were fairly muted I thought, but the Gold Cup is a different beast completely and that may provide a different result. Second stayed on well enough and will be brought on by the race. Lexus at Xmas could be a bit tasty.

The next bonus race is the International Hurdle on Saturday. My best line has Rock on Ruby and Zarkandar. Looking forward to a 1-2 here .. but Grandouet will probably spoil the party. :? The problem with this list I have Divers* . It is overdue I suppose.

Yup - seems a good little game. Low cost, reasonable prize and will give additional interest in viewing Channel4.

How did you go about composing your entry. I ignored the Tolworth as it could easily be won by something not on the list and the Peter Marsh, but
tried  to include the winner of the other bonus races.

I decided to go with three lines with Zarkandar, Grandouet and Rock on Ruby in all three.

Then mixed this up with two horses in the Welsh National, three horses in the King George and Big Bucks.

And then one horse who was racing yesterday.

A limited similarity between us, although I was a little more bonus race focussed. I only put 3 Zarkander, 2 Grandouet and 2 Rock on Ruby in my five lines. So two lines with two "International" runners and three lines with one runner. The biggest difference is that I've included Sprinter Sacre (Victor Chandler) and Bobsworth (Argento). Hoping that Henderson doesn't change his current stated plans. The problem was the Cleeve as the only key news is that Nicholls says that Big Bucks will be going straight to Cheltenham after the Long Walk. Given that its sometimes won by something just below top class, I've had a punt on Crackaway Jack. It's not obvious what will turn up, but at the least the six week break after yesterday's run is about right.

Those two horses could be the difference.

Especially, as that looks like a guaranteed 50 points.

Darlan :D

Not sure about the form of the race though with the handicapper Raya Star well ahead of Countrywide Flame

Countrywide Flame and Cinders and Ashes were very poor

Long Run outslugs Cap'n Chris

Won't win a gold cup again with that jumping

Gold Cup looks more and more like a three horse race:

Bobs Worth  Loves Cheltenham and unbeaten at the course.
Flemenstar  Looks the class act on paper, but does he get the trip / hill
Sir Des Champs  Loves Cheltenham and unbeaten at the course, but looked average against Flemenstar
Long Run  Which horse is going to turn up and will his jumping let him down.
Silviniaco Conti  Unproven against this level.
First Lieutenant  Will he even make the race and seems to always withdrawn before entry closes.
Last Instalment  As above
Captain Chris  Does not like going left handed, but could have bucked that trend this season.
Hunt Ball  Last season's horse
The Giant Bolster  His big day was during the Gold Cup last season
Hidden Cyclone  There for the numbers
China Rock  There for the numbers
Grand Crus  Does not seem to get the trip
Cue Card  As above

Silviniaco Conti should make it a 4 way. Deservedly beat Long Run at Haydock (I was there. Most impressive) and looks pure class IMO. SDC will be much better over longer. Flemenstar had the benefit of a run already and that was 2 1/2 miles, not 3m 2 with an uphill finish and I'd back SDC to turn the form over at the trip.

Lexus will tell us much tbh, but agree that Long Run has it to prove. Henessy form could be anything yet but Bobs looked very very good but not convinced it's gold cup winning form just yet

I think that I must make the effort to go racing more often these days. Saw two of my TTTF horses win at Kempton today. That should only happen at Cheltenham or on Boxing Day.

Oops... The only public league shown is the 'Racing Post' one that holds 21,684 stables:
http://www.totesport.com/portal?action= ... ttf&tab=FA" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Couldn't find reference to any other mini-league, hence assumption (mistakenly?) that is total number.
Perhaps those who entered TTF via Betfred shop are in a separate group.

I think that IS just the RP mini league. MamaJtr picked 10 donkeys and her stable is on a meagre 35.7 points ( ) and she is in 60384th)

Given that I would assume around 65,000 - 75,000 entries in total
