Prize Winners - Telegraph British Champions Series 2014
This is back for 2014.
How to Play
QIPCO British Champions Series throws the spotlight on the best races in the British Flat racing calendar from May 3 to October 18 2014. There are 35 races in all, including iconic events such as QIPCO 2000 Guineas, the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot, the Ladbrokes St Leger and QIPCO Champion Stakes.
The aim of the game is to score the highest number of points in order to win the first prize. There are prizes of VIP and Premier Days racing for two for the winners of our five mini-series or five race categories.
It’s easy to play:
Become a Fantasy Owner by selecting your stable of jockeys and trainers
Pick two horses in all 35 Series races. Click on BCS 2014 Race Calendar for dates and times of all races in the Series. Racecards will appear on the site 48 hours before each race. New this year – you will be able to register your stable as well as make your horse selections on your mobile device via our mobile website and app.
Your five jockeys and five trainers will score points for you every time they have a runner, winner or placed horse in each of the Series' 35 races
Double points are scored for the final five Series races on QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot on Saturday, October 18
Your two horse selections in each race will score additional points for winning or being placed in a race (usually second or third)
You can select your stable at any time during the Series and you will score from the next race in the Series
After you have selected your stable, you can make changes to your stable of jockeys and trainers up to the scheduled start time of the next race in the Series
At the end of each Mini Series, you will be able to change your Jockeys and Trainers. Two changes are available in between each Mini Series making eight changes in total during the game
Make your horse selections from 48 hours before each race right up to the scheduled start time of each race.
Play as an individual or create a bit of friendly competition with friends, family or colleagues by setting up your own Private Leagues. You can join a total of 4 Private Leagues, including public leagues

Re: Telegraph British Champions Series 2014
Great news - FISO won the mini league and I have been emailed to say that we have won six Premier tickets to the QIPCO 1000 Guineas next season.
As I have spoken to The Moderators regarding how best to share these prizes and it has been agreed that these will be shared between the top five finishers and the chairman of the mini league.
The mini league was based on the top 5 teams, so David Brown and Dean Allen won this for FISO and the next best finishers were Mark Kenny,
Phil Thomas and Colin Clarkson
Please can you let me know your FISO names and if you are interested in the prize? If not, I will offer it down the league until we have 5 people claiming the prizes.

Re: Prize Winners - Telegraph British Champions Series 2014
Morning,
With the launch of the new game, I remembered that we won tickets to the 1000 Guineas.
However, I am yet to hear anything from The Telegraph since they emailed me in October 2014 to confirm that we had won.
They confirmed that tickets would be sent nearer time.
This morning, I have chased them for the tickets and will be on the phone to them first thing tomorrow morning.
I have also managed to make contact this morning with the person who sent the email to me and will keep you posted.

Re: Prize Winners - Telegraph British Champions Series 2014
Morning,
I have confirmation on the tickets.
These need to be picked up from the premier collection office on the day. I am unable to make the event myself, but someone can collect these instead.
Looks like Striker is going, so will ask him if he is ok to collect these.
Please can you confirm if anyone else from FISO is attending?
Will PM all the members of the league when I get back later.

Re: Prize Winners - Telegraph British Champions Series 2014
As Ashers is unable to attend the meeting, I will be picking up our tickets.
However as far as I understand it from Ashers, no one has yet indicated a firm wish to attend.
We have a total of six tickets, so there are currently five spare places.
So any fiso member who'd like a ticket should indicate by posting in this thread.
,
First preference will go to anyone who had "stables" in our league. In the unlikely event that more than five league members wish to attend, preference will be given according to where their best "stable" finished in the league.
The far more likely scenario given the lack of interest to date is that we will have less than five league members wishing to attend. In which case any other fiso members will be welcome to take up one of the spare tickets. Order of preference will be based on the timing of their post requesting a ticket.
Timetable
1. Anyone wishing to attend should post their intention a.s.a.p.
2. League members will be allocated tickets at midday on Wednesday.
3. Other fiso members will not be allocated any spare tickets until Wednesday afternoon even though they should indicate their wish a.s.a.p.
I'll swop mobile numbers with those going on Thursday by PM so that I'm able to hand over tickets without problems on Sunday afternoon, just by the main entrance.
I'll also be going to the 2000 on Saturday, and will be spending part of Friday with friends in the area. So from early Friday I'll only be available via mobile.
