25 mate. Presuming each set of fixtures is an individual game week. If not then you want to be banging teams in huge numbers over the xmas period

why make fantasy football so confusing...It should be a simple game that a half wit could understand(i.e Sun readers)..so for that reason i'm outPlayer Manager wrote:@bennyc - If you wanted to try and get a single player for £90m (leaving £1m for the other 10 positions in your squad), you can try it - the strategy for each gameweek is up to you. What I would say, using the example you gave (ie, hoping to spend £94m on five players and be auto-allocated the remaining 6 based on form) is that auto-allocated players are given to you once everyone else's player lists are exhausted. That is, once everyone else has nominated the players they rate - including those for whom they've set a maximum bid of £1m. If you want greater influence over the players you get, you can add more players to your list - but, again, the strategy is up to you.
@Chrisharry12345 - If the Blackpool defender was Eardley, then his better form was down to the goal he scored against Everton in GW11. In Player Manager, a defender gets 30 points if they play a full 90 minutes and keep a clean sheet but a goal will get that defender 50 points. But you're right, players with better scoring criteria (form, points etc) can be snapped up, if nominated, before players are auto-allocated.
Looking forward to seeing your strategies for Gameweek 14 (I'll start a new thread with the next post).

Hi bennycbennyc wrote:Can i confirm that each set of fixtures will be classified as one game week? Over xmas and new year there will be two sets of fixtures each week - presumably that will count as two scores and not just one? Logic would suggest that there are 24 game weeks left?
Also will be there a facility at a later date where you can click on a name in the overall leaderboard and see the individual scores that make up the cumulative total?
Also is there a way of determining what formation you get or is it random?

Yes, there are currently 24 gameweeks left. We also like your idea about the season leaderboard and have added that to the list of considerations for future improvements. It may be more meaningful to express your season score as an average, rather than total, so that the number of gameweeks played by a manager is taken into account.
re: formations: Expressing these as "defenders-midfielders-strikers" these are:
3-5-2; 3-4-3; 4-5-1; 4-4-2; 4-3-3; 5-3-2; 5-4-1
Importantly, you don't "choose" a formation in Player Manager - our auction process allocates players to you, provided that they can fit in one of the above formations.
Enjoy

I have had Gerrard and Fabregas for example in the last 2 weeks due to them being fairly high on the list points/form wise
