Pretty pleased that having been given the number 1 seeding, we're doing well so far. Yet to concede a goal as well

Good work partner (Isalla) 8-)

Great efforts from SP4 and Rossn13 8-)

Unfortunately 13 is my playing number :P Before I gain any bench warming stigma, I'm actually a number 9!

DAY 14 IN OP

Looks like the Spain-France game could hold the key here, still close despite the headline scores.

Squeaky bum time.

A slender lead plus Iniesta and Gerrard v Rooney, Debuchy and Pirlo for my game. TPT is favourite for the other half.

The Germans look like they are systematically picking their way through the knockout stages.

Denmark v Greece is very tight now. A single goal for the right player can completely change the tie...

Congratulations, partner, looks like your Xabi Alonso pushed us into semi-finals! (unless today's game ends 3:3 with hattricks from Rooney and Casano).

Still on a knife edge going into the final game. Feasible this one could go to a tie breaker!

To quote some of our erstwhile football commentators:

" It looks like a win for Germany or Russia, although there is a strong possibility of a draw"

Thanks very much.
It's a shame that my works/friends ML is in The Sun DT as that team is doing rather poorly compared to this one and I'm out of the running already!

So when I beat you today Tacalabala it'll be 1-1 - does it go on points scored or can we go to penalties?

Croatia crash out of the cup, half their team seemingly tired and error-prone after the rigours of the group stage. They will surely consider themselves fortunate to have even got to the knockout stage, with not a single victory to look back on and will return to their homeland with much to learn from the quality on display from their Spanish and Ukrainian opponents.
