Entries are now open for bunkered Fantasy Golf ’16!
Golf’s most fun, most interactive and most exciting fantasy game is back – and it’s had a major facelift to give YOU more of the things you want.
• We’ve increased the number of players in each team from 10 to 12.
• There are more players to choose from than before (up from 100 to 125).
• We’ve re-jigged the pots to allow you to pick more of the top players.
• We’ve doubled the number of transfers you can make each week (up from three to six!)
• There are more tournaments where you can win points – a whopping 53 events in all!
• There are more opportunities to secure vital bonus points in the biggest weeks of the year!
• Plus our mini leagues have been expanded to offer great a prize for the 'League of Leagues’!
Most importantly, there are now more opportunities to win prizes than ever before, details of which will be revealed in due course!
The first counting event for bunkered Fantasy Golf ’16 is the Masters, which means you have only four weeks to register your team and to get your mates signed up, too.
We can’t say it any other way: this year promises to be the best in bunkered Fantasy Golf history, but you’ve got to be in it to win it.

I must be missing something as I seem unable to find the full rules for this. Explains about transfers but neither on the terms and conditions or frequently asked questions does it explain the scoring system. Am I missing a link somewhere?

Bunkered scoring
Not played this before but noticed points system is shown under Results tab: http://www.bunkered.co.uk/fantasy-golf-2016/results
Site includes orher inaccuracies/ambiguities, eg
- it isn't clear whether all 10-12 players score or, like OFL Golf game, just a subset of these
- 'Transfers Window' refers to 2015 rules, ie swapping up to three players each week, as opposed to six mentioned in thread opener
http://www.bunkered.co.uk/fantasy-golf-2016/transfers
Nonetheless, this contest may be best alternative to OFL game for those wishing to compete in a prize league. See also

Well played Rubik
Good to see Polarbear sneaking in to third as well.
It is indeed a fine prize, wish I'd made a better start to this one!

Re: Bunkered Fantasy Golf 2016
I love the way they're doing the scoring in the mini-league.
It does of course favour mini-leagues with many teams in it - like FISO.
- MINI LEAGUE CHALLENGE
New for bunkered Fantasy Golf this year is our Mini League Challenge – and, with a top prize of a holiday for four to the Algarve, it’s well worth getting to know a little more about, wouldn’t you say?
It’s very straightforward.
Simply register your bunkered Fantasy Golf ’16 team as normal but, when you have done so, create a mini league for you and your friends to play in. There are no restrictions on the number of teams you can have in your mini league. The more the merrier.
Every week, the top four scoring teams in your league will have their scores combined to give your league a ranking on our ‘League of Leagues’ table.
Here’s an example…
In Mini League ‘A’, Player 1’s team scores 100 points; Player 2’s team scores 75 points; Player 3’s team scores 50 points; and Player 4’s team scores 25 points. Mini League ‘A’, therefore, scores 250 points that week.

Re: Bunkered Fantasy Golf 2016
Talking of which, somehow I managed to miss entering this mini-league
I am happy to join and contribute, if it's still open.
But should we be accepting new teams into the mini-league?
I assume that if things go well the top 4 scoring players in the FISO mini-league will be off to the Algarve? The fairest way to do it I would think?
Obviously the more teams we have in the FISO mini-league, the better the top 4 scores each week are likely to be, and therefore the chance of FISO winning is increased.
BUT what if someone from FISO wants to join who is in the top 50 overall already (alas I'm in 1,220th )?
If accepted they will go straight into one of the 'winning' top 4 slots. Is it early enough in the comp for that to be OK with the FISOite that drops down to 5th?
Nice problem to have, but what do we think boys and girls?

Re: Bunkered Fantasy Golf 2016
I'm with toffee on this one - on view and having a terrible start
We cant have people joining at the last minute and taking peoples places. I think put a date on it. It is early so I would say people need to be in by the end of May or something and then reject new entries from then on.
If not you might even get someone joining FISO at the end just to join and take a spot.

Re: Bunkered Fantasy Golf 2016
Agree completely - we all know who the regular FISO golfers are and there have been enough posts to ensure it shouldn't have been overlooked - I guess those in the Europa League slots might have a different view to those in First and Second ( who would want a top scorer to join ) - but I'be inclined to close it out fairly soon.BigJonS wrote:I'm with toffee on this one - on view and having a terrible start

Down in 11th at the moment but 99.5 points (?) this week should move up one or two places.

The Blind Optimisms are me and my Son
Son's team is normally The Rhino's but in the haste of us setting them up they both ended up with the same name
We do run them independently

Re: Bunkered Fantasy Golf 2016
How many are in our mini-league guys? Can't tell on the site.
The spirit of FISO (and the majority of posts above and the fact that there's loads of weeks to go) would seem to suggest that we allow entries into the mini-league until the end of May.
As league administrator Sport Billy, you happy with that?
Subject to SB's confirmation....

Disastrous week that, transferred a lot of high scoring players out e.g Justin Thomas and didn't have Day. Down to 40 something overall from 9th.
