Re: Fantasy League F1 2013
It won't surprise you to hear that once more there is no cash prize for winning the F&E League....
I've set it up anyway and added details to the first post above.
FISO F&E League
PIN: 1552
All FISOers welcome
Enter as many teams as you like as only top five count towards the league's overall score
Entry deadline for this league will be the start of the Main Championship ie. Race 3 in Shanghai
(Any applications made after the official start time of the Chinese GP will be rejected ie. 0800bst 14th April)
Some info from the site:
Your role as a Fantasy League Formula 1 team manager is to select a team consisting of six real-life drivers and one constructor with a budget of $100 million.
Your team will then score points based on performances in the 19 races making up the 2013 Formula 1 season.
Team changes are unlimited for the Warm-Up Competition, which runs for the first two races - the Australian Grand Prix and Malaysian Grand Prix - after which you can make up to a maximum of 25 changes over the course of the Main Championship (the subsequent 17 races).
There is no additional limit to the number of changes between races, meaning that you can make as many changes as necessary before each race so long as you remain within your overall transfer quota. This gives you plenty of room for tactical changes should your team need a significant overhaul at any time during the season.
Competitions
Warm-Up Championship
The Warm-Up Championship covers the first two races of the season - the Australian Grand Prix (17 March) and the Malaysian Grand Prix (24 March).
Main Championship
The Main Championship starts with the Chinese Grand Prix (14 April), covering the remaining 17 races of the 2013 Formula One season.
Mini Championship
The Mini Championship runs from the British Grand Prix (16 June) until the Italian Grand Prix (Sunday, 8 September).
Individual Race Prizes
For each of the 19 races this season, the entrant scoring the highest number of points in an individual race will win themselves £100 in cash. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for details regarding ties for individual race prizes.
Friends & Enemies Leagues
As well as being entered into a Prize League, you are also able to set up your own Friends & Enemies League to take on friends, family and work colleagues for the greatest prize of all - personal glory! The winner of each Friends & Enemies League with eight or more participants at the start of the Main Championship will receive an exclusive league winner's trophy!
Friends & Enemies League Championship
How does your group of friends and colleagues compare to everyone else playing the game? Now's the time to find out. If your Friends & Enemies League has five or more unique entrants, your league will be automatically entered into our competition to find the best league of them all. The winners will receive a prestigious trophy and five Fantasy League gold medals to share amongst their victorious league members.
Prize Leagues
Upon registration, you're automatically entered into a private league with 19 other entrants. You will battle it out for the honour of being your Prize League's champion and each league winner will receive an exclusive Fantasy League F1 gold medal.
Good Luck!

Re: Fantasy League F1 2013
Hi, I used to play this game about 6-8 years ago and thinking about having a go this year. Does anyone know approx how many entrants the game had last year? Is it full of multiple entrants?
Thanks
Thanks

'All' those waiting now accepted - two of in the league now!
Gray821 - not sure how many were in the game last season I'm afraid. There was one multi at the start but he disappeared very quickly - can't remember details. Anyone else?
At £10 a go, it's so much one for the multis.

That multi made the mistake of not covering Vettel in any teams.Jester wrote:'All' those waiting now accepted - two of in the league now!

He should have won hands down with 96 teams.

Thanks guys. Reading through the thread for last years game it mentioned someone in around 7000th position so at least that many - given the prizes it doesn't seem worth playing at all!

Don't ask for tips in here is probably the best tip - we haven't done that well in recent seasons..... Think it started when they took away the prize for best F&E League (which was only a trophy iirc?)
It's a tough comp to do well in - transfers are a lottery as far as I can see! Then again, the same people seem to do well every year, so maybe it's me that just doesn't get it?!
Hope you decide to play - only five of us in the league so far.....

Just the one team added.
At £10 a pop this game is to expensive for more than one team.

Hi,
I do apologise. I have just realised that you can only enter one league. Having already joined a mates league, I'm stuffed. Sorry about this. But, good luck with your league for 2013
