In terms of Championship drama I was sorry that Lancs didn't get over the finish line earlier....I would like to see Somerset pull it off...probably unlikely now...

‘Catches win matches’ as they say. I wonder what Ricky Ponting would have said about bringing on a specialist substitute short leg fielder!

Lancs catching pretty poor the whole match, a recurring theme this week with the test match as well.

Yes DD you did! Well I have scored high, but made one big mistake and only had 10 players today when I could have had 11, also have not got Ali, who I dropped, so thats not great either. Don't think I have done quite enough, but from 1000 odd after day 1, think I will be top 10.

4 points Ooozzzie! It was me that beat you with a first time ever win at this! Apologies as that is so close! I had Leach today but not as captain. I was 18th at the start of the day but managed to get 20 wickets in the day between my bowlers and all rounders and Murtagh’s 5 was doubled for me. I also dropped Ali today and Madsen got a duck!

Congratulations Summerset on your win and very unlucky to ooozzzie on failing by a mere 4 points. So 18th (after 3 days) finished 1st and 16th finished 2nd. Before today I was sure that the guy who ended up 3rd who was winning after day 3 would win as like yourselves he had a dedicated weekly team.
It was my 4th attempt at a weekly this season and have finished 2nd 3rd and 4th previously - this time 27th. A disastrous day 2 and pathetic captain picks (apart from day 1)! But I have got some new ideas for next week.

So even tho ooozzzie is off to pastures new I hope that he intends to keep posting on fiso (and entering TFC comps going forward).
I always thought ooozzzie was the fisoer i'd most likely meet up with at a cricket ground one day.
All the best ooozzzie!

Congratulations,Summerset...this is always a mixture of skill persistence and luck....I have never won!

I must confess that I really wanted Ooozzzie to win on his final week in the UK...He came from nowhere over the past two days...

I hope he won't mind me saying that earlier yesterday he told me that, due to a mistake ( not lack of transfers,) he went into yesterday with ten players and that he hoped he didn't lose by ten or twenty points....

I am very sure that Ooozzzie will continue to enlighten and entertain us for many years to come....With very little success ( as if😅,) I have played ,at all times of the night and day, when in all imaginable time zones...and it is always such great fun! My good lady absolutely loves it...hmm😂

Many Congrats must have been destined, because as I said I made an error last night and put a wrong player in, who wasn't playing, I think it was hit by mistake and I
didn't notice, had I a player who was playing then all likelyhood he would have scored enough. I was 49th. Anyway well done. I had 4 winners out of 5 yesterday at York so
that was good. (I was 1009th after 1st day and 500ish after day 2!)
Yes I will still be posting PM lol, thanks for your kind words. Will be in Galle if you can make it. 8-)

Well done Summerset and unlucky Ooozzzie.

My chances of winning anything ended yesterday with last team knocked out of the Super 8s. Made a couple of wrong decisions, in a match-up I should have won. Frustrating.

Likewise bar just the one in the Super 8's. Playing Darren Taylor who is a FISO chap I believe?

The Super 8s must be getting down to the final few rounds! To me, that it is the most exciting comp to play. Never got very far though. Good luck to anyone left!

I’m obviously pleased to win something as I’ve been playing about 4-5 years now but I’ve also got very lucky here! I have 3 teams and all of them have ended up as weekly efforts! I came 4th in week 1 and my work pattern makes a weekly the best bet.

I just wanted to wish Ooozzzie all the best for his travels. Thank you so much for your spreadsheet which I find so so useful - not just for this game but following cricket generally! Hopefully you will keep up all of your good work. :)

All the best In Thiland Oooozzzie - hope it all goes well & keep posting!

I know its a bit early for team news but can anyone confirm if Henry is back for this set of games. I'm sure Kent said he was but there is a distinct lack of anything on their web site.

Hello Fatbelly...nothing that I can find regarding Henry....Assuming that he is here can we guess that he will " hit the ground running" or need a game to bed in?

Of more immediate concern to me is what to do about Vince....gulp!😕

Thanks Fatbelly, 2 days to go. Looks like you are right Matt Henry back for final five games, unless this has changed, but I don't think it has.

Vince is a problem, will be play or not. If he doesn't play in the 4th Test, then you would expect he will return as he won't be needed for the 5th either. If he plays in the 4th and does well, then it would be daft to drop him for the 5th. I am going to hold on,and take the hit for 1st county match and see what happens. But if you do have a few transfers left then can see the case for swapping now, or at least on day 2. No right answer I don't think DD

Terribly sad, and given his age she must have been quite young. Hopefully Tom and the family get all the support they need.

Squad news out there, but I don't have time to post all. Lots of musical chairs.

Ben Slater has moved to Notts, which is bad for my teams as most batsmen who move there turn into rabbits (witness Chris Nash). Notts also have Kragg Brathwaite in the squad.

To replace Slater, Derbyshire have signed Tom Lace from Middlesex on loan, and he's expected to open the batting. Sean Ervine is also in the squad for Derbyshire.

Lancashire have signed another spinner as their overseas player, despite having about 10 on the books already, and having a huge need in the batting department - just look at their team's averages. It also means Joe Mennie won't play.

Worcestershire are going through the overseas players as well. Wayne Parnell will play the next couple, before Ashwin takes over for the last 2 games. Moeen is away on England duty, at least for the start.

Yorkshire are doing a lot of transfer business. Jack Brooks is leaving for Somerset, but is still in the squad. Liam Plunkett is moving to Surrey, with Matt Pillans coming the other way. Pillans makes the current squad, alongside Josh Poysden who they recently signed from Warwickshire.

Dean Elgar is back for Surrey.

Sussex have Luke Wright back, but have dropped wicketkeeper batsman Michael Burgess. Delray Rawlins is included in the squad but is playing in the Sussex 2nd XI’s three-day friendly against MCC Young Cricketers at Richmond CC that started on Tuesday. He will make the trip across London to Lord’s if required.

Ireland are playing, which means Wilson, Murtagh, Stirling are all away on international duty.

Reckon he'll be trying really hard now that he's off down south :? and Footit never seems to play (wherever he is) :D

Excellent cloud cover in Leeds too 8-) what could go wrong

Yet another failure from Hameed...wow...

I am starting to think that Higgins needs close examination for the run in...he needs wickets for me as he sure as heck doesn't get any runs!

Rather inspired swoop on Brooks,Jim! I wonder if he will play once Coad is fit?
