Wow Livingstone is a machine, albeit against an average attack on a good pitch and small ground. Hope my super 8 opponent hasn’t got him. Any chance of him getting in England’s t20 side amongst Roy, Hales, Morgan, Buttler, Billings etc. ?

Re: London Cup Squads and Chit Chat
I've had a poor 1 day cup so far. I had a couple of well positioned teams I was hoping to push on with but some bad decisions and reliance on Kingram to do the business has seen me drop rather than rise. I can't help feeling that both Ingram and Mullaney are suffering as captains - neither seem inclined to bowl themselves even though, certainly in Ingram's case, he seems likely to take wickets when he does have a twirl. Both players would have bowled more overs if the captain was someone else I think. I'm not quite sure why teams make their star players captain - it never seems to work out well.

On the whole, in my weekly attempt, I think I made most of the right decisions - but came second by 200 or so points. The winner must have been perfect!

Re: London Cup Squads and Chit Chat
Mullaney isn’t a star player he’s just a bog standard county cricketer! His average is very poor with bat & ball around 33/34. He is captain for that reason, he is a very good tactically & uses his better players very wisely. Good captain, average player, Notts will come good under his captaincy! Ingram is a good player, just a net bowler really who can turn his arm over to buy a wicket. He was mainly a keeper, but was never good enough as an international keeper, so fielding & a wicket buyer. Mullaney is good on green tops, when it’s cloudy bowling cutters, and keeps it tight. He knows his limitations with the ball as Ingram does,so they don’t over bowl themselves. They have good captain skills for a quick in and out,or in Mullaneys case it’s his deck and he bowls slightly more. Both very good captains, who use themselves at the right time. Good luck fellow fiso men.Nabby wrote: ↑01 Jun 2018, 08:36 I've had a poor 1 day cup so far. Unlucky wld. You can join "The Bridesmaids Club".
Tom Clover always seems to be doing well in the weeklies. He has already won twice, weeks 4 & 7 and I think he is in top 10 every week except week 5.
Nabby I think you are right - Id come to the same conclusion about Mullaney. Every time I look at transfers I think about shipping him out. However having said that he is the only player in my best performing team who was in the Starting XI.

So no Gurney again? Thought he was rested last time, but now I wonder if he's injured. Last season he was their best RLC bowler, along with Pattinson.Waikikamukau wrote: ↑31 May 2018, 21:59 Notts Outlaws squad to face Worcestershire Rapids: Chris Nash, Steven Mullaney (c), Riki Wessels, Alex Hales, Matt Milnes, Luke Fletcher, Matt Carter, Samit Patel, Tom Moores (wkt), Ross Taylor, Jake Ball, Billy Root, Jack Blatherwick.

Thanks for that at least sheds a little possible light as to whats going on. Thanks wld.wld wrote: ↑31 May 2018, 15:06He's a very, very good bowler but he does tend to be a little 'samey'. He doesn't yet have a killer slower ball or enough variety to be a top one day bowler - and as the way he bowls works in the first class game maybe the coach wants him to concentrate on what he's doing well rather than learning new skills? I suppose our reliance on spin leaves little room for manoeuvre with the quicks - especially as Clark is a better batsman.bluelionman wrote: ↑31 May 2018, 11:16 Why is Tom Bailey Lancs always making the squad of late but not the actual team - thought he started the season really well (going on fantasy points scored) but 3 games now on the trot he's not been selected - cannot be injury related if he's in each matchday squad can it?
Might be wide of the mark though!

Made a right balls up with transfers this morning. Thought I would make a blind transfer and get Groenewald in, as soon as I did this clicked back and suddenly the Somerset team had been announced and he wasn’t in it. There weren’t too many other bowling options I liked who were meant to be starting at 11 today.
I see D I Stevens the legend has produced the goods today.

Re: London Cup Squads and Chit Chat
Well done Jim
Worcs Clarke Ali Ferguson Mitchell Dolly Cox Whiteley Barnard Leach Morris Brown Fell Finch
Very strong contenders to qualify and get an extra game or two. Moheen in one day squad so don't think he will get extra game. Worcs must be favourites to win today, then
a crunch final game against Warwickshire on Thursday.
Northants squad not up but with them away to Worcs and away Yorkshire they would have to win both to qualify and even then might not make it. I wouldn't be picking
any Steelbacks myself.
Other games, Somerset have just one game left away to Hampshire on Wednesday if they lose they won't qualify. Hampshire have two games left and need just one win to go through. Kent v Glos today and winners would be very strong contenders to make it. But might have one more chance on Wednesday, Kent certainly have two chances, hard to say until later today on the others. Glos play Middlesex on Wednesday which I am hoping is a winner takes all game as I am going to that one.
Leics and Glamorgan can't qualify, and its virtually impossible for Surrey and Durham, if its not already impossible, wouldn't surprise me if it was.
I think one game on Wed and one game on Thurs is on TV but they are yet to decide which ones. All games start at 11am today, but 2pm Wed and Thursday.

Re: London Cup Squads and Chit Chat
Thanks for all the squad news guys.
madterrier - Gurney has been (still is) injured, hence not playing recently - definitely not rested.
Josh Tongue is also injured (foot) hence not in the Worcs squad today.
I've been finding it really hard to get bowlers in recently, many of mine haven't been playing this competition but worthwhile replacements seem to be at a premium.
