Re: London Cup Squads and Chit Chat
I can't copy and paste the whole squad at the moment, but Jake Ball is in the Notts squad for tomorrow's game. The squad is unchanged from their last game.

Oh,no...I hope that Henry is ok...I have enough problems...
Also hope that things worked out for Ooozzzie..
Seems like a great end to the Hamps/Somerset game...

Re: London Cup Squads and Chit Chat
Henry bowled a beamer and was ordered out of the attack.
Think someone's spreading BS about there being an actual injury here...

Re: London Cup Squads and Chit Chat
So North Group today
Winner of War v Wor will win the group and go into the semi final
The loser of above game will go through if Yorkshire lose
The loser of above game could also go through if Yorkshire win and Derby win but with worse run rate total.
If Yorkshire win they will be into the play off game, if however they lose they won't qualify.
If Notts beat Derby they will go into the play off game
If Derby beat Notts they will be in a run rate battle with loser of War or Wor for the play off game
I think those are the only permutations and the message for Warwickshire Worcestershire Yorkshire and Notts is win and you qualify. Which is the way it should be.

Re: London Cup Squads and Chit Chat
Just one thing, Ooozzzie, and it may be academic, but are we sure that NRR will be the first decider if teams are level on points.
4 or 5 years ago I remember Kent missing out to Warks despite having a better NNR and head to head record. They went out as Warks had won more games. Which was a bit unfair as Kent had lost more to the weather.
I am thinking this may still be the case as Worcs are currently top of the group having won more games but with a worse NNR than Warks (Warks having had a couple of no results).
The permutations today may render this irrelevant anyway. But I guess I'm still holding a grudge as a result of past events.

Re: London Cup Squads and Chit Chat
I believe that number of wins is the first tie-breaker, before NRR.

Re: London Cup Squads and Chit Chat
I was wondering why they were not listed in NRR order that explains it. What a dummy. I suppose either way can throw up some questionable placings. I am on train to Edgbaston so looking forward to visiting ground for 1st time and what should be a good game.

Worcs all over Warwickshire everytime they play a shot in anger they lose a wicket. Moheen bowling is really slowing them down. Can't see Worcs losing this.

Re: London Cup Squads and Chit Chat
Already looks very like Worcs finishing top, and Yorks v Notts in the play-off.
edit. Though a bit of a comeback from the Warws lower order.

Re: London Cup Squads and Chit Chat
Now Hampshire decide to tell us that Amla returned to South Africa for treatment on an injury sustained in May. Thanks a bunch.
Steyn, who I originally read was only here for about a week, is now available for all 3 of their upcoming CC fixtures.

Re: London Cup Squads and Chit Chat
All change here Worcs have tried the hit everything approach and it has not paid off. Ali been very lucky in between some great shots to be fair to him. Henry Brookes just 18 bowling very well..... But Cox playing out his skin looks like that approach is going to pay off.

Re: London Cup Squads and Chit Chat
Great game that. Shame for Ronnie Barker and his comedy slip. Play-offs:
Essex v Yorkshire (winner away to Hampshire)
Notts v Kent (winner away to Worcestershire)
Both play-offs next Thursday.
