Tues 22nd: Derby - Hants
Weds 23rd: Glamorgan - Leics
Thu 24th: Notts - Somerset
Fri 25th: Surrey - Birmingham
A few surprises in there. My only major annoyance, TFC-wise, is the lack of Northants, who looked a shoe-in a couple of games ago.

Of the top 10 points scorers in the comp (so far) only 2 have qualified for the QFs - Madsen & Wessels. 2nd guessing the qualifiers was very difficult even up until tonights games. I doubt many will have got all 11 through.

Re: TFC T20 Blast 2017
Marvellous and unexpected progress for Somerset. Having been at the home defeats last Saturday and Sunday it seemed mission impossible to qualify. Really pleased for Trego as he copped a lot of unworthy twitter abuse during the week from idiot fans. I might even try to get up to the land of the sheriff on Thursday, if the work schedule permits.
In terms of my two teams, it's the first time I ever had more than one in the T20 and my performance is much worse than normal. I've got plenty of captain changes available but no more than five or six transfers left. Progressed with 8 and 7 players, so will make changes for QF and hope for the best.
There's been some great T20 cricket so far this season, for me the block has worked well.

Well said
The block format is much easier to follow - the one CC game was a bit odd though. Was it the day/night practice?
Agreed about Trego too - helpful motivation from the keyboard warrior

Re: TFC T20 Blast 2017
Squad news
Derbyshire: Godleman, Reece, Wood, Madsen, Hughes, Wilson, Critchley, Brodrick, Smit, Henry, Viljoen, Milnes, Cork, Cotton, Tahir.
Hampshire: Vince, Dickinson, Wood, Afridi, Crane, Alsop, Bailey, Wheal, Berg, Carberry, Adams, Abbott, Dawson, Ervine
Carberry & Wilson back
I'm struggling with the keeper position atm. Ronchi's the obvious but expensive option... Could go Wilson but he hasn't been keeping & hasn't scored many runs. Dickinson's been opening the last few games so could be a cheap option but don't know anything about him. Then there's Davies, Moores & Pope who haven't done too much.
There's not alot jumping out at me tbh

Re: TFC T20 Blast 2017
I'm hoping we get four good games. I've got Ronchi and due to credit left will be put Pope in to my other team later in the week. If I wasn't restricted, I'd take a punt on Dickinson (or Alsop).

Re: TFC T20 Blast 2017
He's in two of my teams but only captained in one that's too far back.
Have Vince captained in most and he's just nudging singles to give Boom Boom the strike.

-7 for popular derby picks Tahir and Madsen so far tonight
I got both of them in most teams...but I guess i'm not alone.
Edit: Tahir passes 7 runs and i'm in profit

Nice punt, he didn't even cross my mind.
I did put Vince, Dawson & Abbott in most teams to go with Crane so I'm nicely set for finals day & a nice pts haul today so I'm happy, it's just a shame I captained Madsen in a couple of them.

Re: TFC T20 Blast 2017
Quite straightforward for Glamorgan
I reckon that most of the 50% owning Ingram will have him as captain tonight
No Leicestershire players so happy with Hogan, Ingram and de Lange
Good to see Wagg back in form

Re: TFC T20 Blast 2017
So just finals day to go.
Best team is 950 back will have 9 at finals day. Instinct says thats too far.
Looking back, Gambled and lost in Glam Leics game. Went Wright when it should have been Vince at the back end of the group stages, and missed Willey's Ton while Bopara sat in the pavilion.
But did I hear right someone said they made up 1000 on finals day last year? So gamble on outsiders and hope?

Re: TFC T20 Blast 2017
Finals day line-ups
Bears v Glammy
Notts v Hampshire.
It feels like lots of teams near the top are made of similar players, so much will depend on nailing the right captain. I think many will have got a bulk of players through from the first 3 QFs but I wonder if Surrey going out will leave anyone a few light. Other than Jeet I never held a single Bears player until tonight. My leading team had Finch as captain and I couldn't believe it when he pulled up with a calf strain from the first ball. Fair play to him for getting to 39.
I'll happily post my finals day XI after the start...hopefully other will do the same.
Edit: 02 - I was typing my post while you submitted yours. 950 is lot but if you have differentials and some transfers held back who knows. I wish you luck.

Re: TFC T20 Blast 2017
I will do likewise.
I saw a viewable team in the 50s with 6 out players.
I dont think being without a keeper is going to be a massive issue.
Glam dont have one listed, Warks keeper bats 8. Dickinson and Moores 1 good innings each.
I was the same with Warks, I just could not see where big points were going to come from.

Differentials yes since I have been playing catch up for a while. Transfers not so much but I would only really like 1 more than I have.

Re: TFC T20 Blast 2017
I try not to look back cos the Klinger switch in the final week of the group games hurts too much.It cost me in the region of 300 points and 2 transfers...bearing in mind that team is leading the comp by 90 at the moment it could still come back to haunt me.

yeah, 400 ahead is pick the obvious ones and let the rest come at you.
Oh well I have my wish from the start of the season, an interest on finals day which I am going too.

Re: TFC T20 Blast 2017
I'm about 800 behind & agree about similar teams, I've barely moved an inch during the quarters regardless of whether I had a good or bad day. I also haven't got many transfers left to change the obvious players, those transfers will be used to replace Surrey players instead.

Re: TFC T20 Blast 2017
I'll post my team (currently 3rd) after ko on finals day. Think anyone top 10 could win it but will need a bit of luck to come from further back. Still things can change quickly. My team in 3rd was 400 points clear at top at the beginning of August. 9 ducks later happy to hang on for a money finish. It does seem most have similar teams so that captain pick seems vital. Whether to go for the slightly more unusual captain to try to make ground on those above or one of the most obvious to try to protect the 3rd place. Decisions ...........
Good luck to all
