Canned Cheering

I make no bones that I find Cricket the most boring sport out there.
Can anyone confirm that it's the norm to add Canned Cheering when showing highlights on TV?
Sky's highlights of the 1st test against England at Rajkot definately had Canned Cheering/Squealing.
The stands were completely empty ( well three of them as the other stand seemed to be unused being repaired) it was a game of spot the person literally. Googling the attendance I came across the ground capacity is 30,000 and the attendance was less than 1,000
The noise supposedly generated in the highlights shown was so obviously false. It was the same sound on every highlight.
Many times in the past I have noticed similar size crowds at cricket and confirms to me at least, that this sport really is over rated by far. Why are they trying to glitz it up?
Why play international games in poverty stricken areas and charge ridiculous prices no doubt. If governing bodies want to promote the sport in these areas perhaps they ought to allow crowds in for free.
Empty stadiums in any sport are a turn-off but cricket, "Get your house in order" and stop adding Canned Cheering at the empty events.
