I forgot all about this & only joined the league late yesterday which is why my team's scores aren't counted in the league (I'm assuming anyway). I'm in catch up mode.

Called the baby "Blush" which after the "Dont Blush Baby" comment to Mel Mclaughin is surprising.

Couldn't make any transfers between games yesterday (Saturday) and just wasted another 30 mins trying to transfer between games today (Sun) What a useless site this is this year. Have no players so will score zero this afternoon, but on the bright side, used no transfers

I've not had a problem since it's been back up, I get the transfers in early tho, maybe it can't handle last minute rushes?

Also, Kohli's t20 form: 100*, 80, 33, 79, 75

I thought that yesterday, perhaps it would have been better doing it early, but I was going to transfer 5 RBS players in so waited for the team list

Yes keep captaining someone else in the hope he gets out early thats not working either  again.

Went to transfer Russell in (who got 3 wickets) but the system went down! So made transfers for this afternoons game in advance so it wouldn't happen again....and its bloody raining !! Well they got going without losing overs thankfully....captained Kolhi for the first time....14

Edit...First game not had Rohit in, and he gets 85 and MOM, the tales of woe just go on and on  The guy that is top of our league, has to be luckiest dude ever.

With the FISO Forum up to 122nd in the league of leagues - how many transfers does everyone have left?

I;ve got 41 at present before this afternoon match. Is that too many - when does phase 1 end?

I'm on 29 but I started a few games late so I burnt quite a few transfers trying to catch up. I'd imagine anything around 30-40 would be standard at this point.

The first phase ends when the group stage finishes then we have unlimited transfers before the knockout stages start.

Cheers Getfunky will sort my ipl team out now so I can try and sort out my tfc efforts in the morming.

Set up a new team for super 8s (turns out a week too soon!)with Ansari as captain - one transfer and possibly a captain transfer as well.
That kinda sums up my ipl transfer policy!

I have submitted a support ticket as the wording for transfers says unlimited up to the start of the Eliminator, but the game between RCB and GL is described as a Qualifier rather than an Eliminator....

Will post whatever response I get.

Never noticed that, what a shambles this competition has been, all the games are numbered as well and dates are of course known, they can't go wrong

Hi,

Thanks for your email.

We apologise for the confusion - you have unlimited transfers before the first Qualifier, on 24th May, between GL and RCB.

Thereafter, you have eight transfers to use for the rest of the tournament.

Kind regards,

IPL Fantasy

So the wording was wrong as expected. They have even put a little banner up with this corrected wording!

Good luck...

I suppose that's all they could say, but they are numpties, and yes they could have put up a banner.

Difficult trying to pick because
1. Both today's teams will play twice, one team could play three.
2. Tomorrows teams one team will play once and one could play three.

It's quite a bizarre way of doing it. why not just have two semis, a final & a third place playfoff? I don't think I've ever seen a knock out stage work that way in any sport.

Yes it is, but it does give the top two an advantage which you could say they deserve.

What they could do though is give the top team home advantage throughout the play offs. Which is what they do here in non league football play offs.

So its 1st v 4th and 2nd v 3rd

Then the Final combinations keep the highest team in the league with home advantage in the final

Final Combinations mean 3 or 4 never play at home.

1 v 2
1 v 3
2 v 4

Simple.

Yep, that's how it works in the NBA. It's a much better way imo. I suppose the good thing about this way is it gives you one more highly competitive game than usual (as third place playoffs tend to be a bit crap as they have less to play for).

It's certainly made picking a team more difficult. Do you balance it out or go heavy on one team hoping they lose their first game & win their second game so you get three games out of those players?

Yes depends on tomorrow, go for one team and keep your fingers crossed, thats what I usually do. At the end of the day, it aint the end of the world if you get it wrong, we are all miles behind, and I can't catch you.

Yeah credit to Hiesenberg, he's barely made a mistake & managed to keep a healhy lead the whole way through whilst keeping transfers in hand... well played tbh

I think the key to this (and I never do it!) is just transfer in or make sure you have the 2 or 3 big players in every game, forget the bowlers. Just keep rotating slowly and you should do well. I changed too many bowlers and picked up 10 or 20 points each, waste of time.
