Re: TFC 2016 - April Team News
Not sure about Gregory.
But yes Wiz, Jake Libby age 23 Northants (TFC 1) and Jack Burnham age 19 (TFC 2) both with tons today. Weirdly I put them BOTH in my weekly team this morning! Which is embarrassingly bad again but suspect I will climb up a bit tonight, still no chance though I can't pick a captain to save my life, went with Pallindino and he has had a wicketless day so far anyway, Also Tresco, Abell, and Duckett who all went pretty quick. But chuffed with those 2.

I picked LIbby from the start due to someone's advice earlier in the thread, he's proved to be a good enabler but does anyone know how many games he has left at Northants?

Dont think you meant to refer to me Ooozzzie
Transfers slowly paying off, brought David Lloyd in, the ironic thing being, I put him in my wickets team

Yeah, Cook has been an awesome inclusion for his 4 games
Ryder hugely disappointing, then again a lot of all rounder picks just havent produced.
I mean we have touched on this in previous rounds... the weather and pitches have been different, a nibbly bowler like Ryder just hasnt cashed in compared to the start of last season

Libby has next weeks' game against Leicestershire then back to Trent Bridge. Given James Taylor's unfortunate retirement and the fact both Brendan Taylor and Greg Smith can't buy a run, he'll go straight into the first X1 for Championship cricket.....

Re: TFC 2016 - April Team News
Oh that's interesting cheers.
Edit
Talking about allrounders, the highest so far, is McClaren of Hants and he has been pretty solid, and has taken 4 wickets in the innings just gone. Hants play in
the next set of fixtures, but miss the one after that, which is a shame. Ignoring Rashid, or at least putting him to one side for the moment, the next one is Clarke of Warwickshire, who had 1 brilliant game. After that we have Ansari, Meschede and the one I like Raine. Then Patel who will do alright for you if you have him.

Magoffin, Harris & Ryder have been the disappointments in my teams, they're all high ownership players tho so I won't be alone.

I have a couple of Magoffin's I will stick with him, but JAR Harris seemed to go off the boil at the end of last season, I keep putting him in Weekly and he just aint producing, nor is Finn for that matter.

Scores updated. Also maybe time that a new May team news thread was started surely (and yes, i'll stop calling you surely). As ever, puzzled by the seemingly random times of updates, could be as quick as 7.30pm, maybe as late as 10am the following morning. But tonight was soon after 11pm.

No break, bad bruising, will bat if necessary.
But since it's his bowling hand where that leaves him for Sunday is up in the air.

hmmm, wiz & ooozzzie. do i detect a hint of gloating?
in all fairness tho, your lot should be chuffed at taking down landofthegodsshire. it must be massively exciting for your gray community.
the problem we have here in south wales, i think, is one of complacency - possibly even arrogance... and that's no good.
it's like we look at the fixture list and see we've got to play minnows like leicestershite, the netballers and kentcester and we go... 'that's an easy three wins! who do we play after? ' ...... we must remember that the small clubs really raise their game when they see our band of laughing cavaliers in town. it's a bit like when the roundheads got all arsey with the royalists. there's a lot of envy & jealousy and our boys have got to realise that they've got to do a bit of work b4 cracking open the champers.
anyways... we've got piddling little wetcestershire next, so that should be a confidence booster. .... unless they go and flood our ground with river water and claim a draw.
i might even do another one of my fun-packed after play reviews too. hopefully ooozzzie will have a link to the livestream from sophia gardens on his site, so i'll be able to put my feet up and enjoy the game.... byeeee!
