Pool name: FISO League

Anybody struggling to get access, just drop me either a FISO mail or Bru mail & I'll sort it (eventually)
[To those new to the game: The SuperBru scoring system aims to reward different aspects of prediction with different types of points. You'll see these represented all around the site as WP (Win Point), MP (Margin Point), BP (Bonus Point) and, in some tournaments, GSP (Grand Slam Point) and CP (Challenge Point). Read more about it here. ]
As before, this league is just for fun, but we've had four good years of highly competitive participants with the result going down to the wire and competition further down the table just as fierce ... hopefully this year will be just as enjoyable. I will be running the Winter and Spring & FA Cup prediction cups in tandem with this (if time permits).
cheers,

Re: 2016-17 SBru Premiership Predictor - Holder: Trampie
Week 4 already and we have a nice number participating this year ... although all is not going well for the previous champions at this stage of the proceedings, who all occupy slots outside the top 10
... changed the colour scheme from last week ... hope it improves it
I'll have to get organised & kick off the Winter Cup soon ... more on that later ...

Mick - I have applied to join the FISO League. I know I've missed the first few weeks but would still like to join. It sounds a fun competition.

week 6 had Funky G wearing the yellow cap with 7 outcomes correct (and moving up 6 places on the leaderboard), followed by a peleton of others predicting 5&6 outcomes correctly ...

week 7 had an impressive performance from one of the new boyz TheoVodkat scoring a healthy 13 points, including 7 correct outcomes. As a late starter (having only joined us in September along with TheBigLewandowski) - welcome aboard - this helps him close the gap on the slow starters amongst us.
No movement in the Top 3 slots, but lots of snakes n ladders beneath that ....

week 8's momentous event is Tenpinterry leapgrogging scumbucket with highreenowl playing Piggy in the Middle. More snakes n ladders after that. Top scorer of the week was WFC11. Average score over the 8 weeks is 7.44. Anybody scoring less than that is probably dropping down the table this week (although I didn't somehow)!!

Re: 2016-17 SBru PL Predictor : Trampie takes Yellow Cap in wk12
week 11 was low scoring for most except FanAde whose low 8.75 was top score of the week.
week 12 was more respectable with Trampie earning the yellow cap with 11.25.
More worrying, the Cat with the Cream does rise closer to the top (3rd at least for the moment) but is joined by Trampie and Spencer4 in the Top 10 as the season hots up.

Re: 2016-17 SBru Premiership Predictor - wk14 and Murf sails ahead
Didn't realise just how well I am doing it this. After week 7 I was 11,000th globally and have risen every week since. Now got a nosebleed in 39th - climbed 100 places this week and I thought I'd had a bad one!!
Anyway, don't forget those midweek games folks

Dropped to 8th at the end of the week. Got back to 6th after today's 3pm games but now somehow a record 5th after Chelsea won 3-1 (I said 2-0).murf wrote:6th overall. Serious nose bleed.

Dropped to that 14th so it doesn't feel impressive at the mo.
Not had much right for a fortnight or so. Did peak at 5th worldwide and was top Englishman for a while too but guessing scores when half the teams are on the beach appears to be a skill I lack.

2017 SBru Premiership Predictor - wk36 and Murf tries to get into top 20 Globally
week 36 and as we near the close of the season ...
1st we have murf (7th in England/22nd Globally) who is impossible to catch
2nd we have highgreenowl who seems almost safe
3rd we have a battle royale between Moist von Lipwig and McBear ... and sneaking swiftly closer in
5th we have the never-to-be-taken-for-granted Spencer4 and reigning Champion Trampie

Re: 2017 SBru Premiership Predictor - wk36 and Murf tries to get into top 20 Globally
the master of the 1-0 strikes again WOW
This really is a lesson to all that if you dont know what the score is but you know which team to win just go 1-0
just this last gwk (36 in fpl) has been RIDICULOUS for obvious favorites winning
10 out of 10 to be exact
and out of those 10 SIX RESULTS were won with a goal difference of +1
and out of those SIX how many did Murf match????
No you guessed wrong! Surprisingly only 3 out of 6 he got with a + 1 scoreline. BUT to save his bacon he correctly predicted the everton and chelsea 1-0 scoreline.
Surprisingly for Murf he failed to correctly predict Spurs v man u & Boro v Soton matches
Just the 8 out of 10 correct results then
So for next season do we all go 1-0 1-1 or 0-1 then for all matches, just give murf a bit of stiff competition

Not sure of your point but Superbru doesn't reward you for herd following and I don't pick that many 1-0s either. I do go for a few as they are statistically common results but I do mix it up especially as the bigger teams rarely stop at 1.
Not the best weekend to highlight any theory on my methods as I dropped from 12th to 22nd!
