Hey all,

Not sure if I'm posting this in the correct place.

Im looking to start a draft style fantasy soccer league on fantrax, with keepers and prospects. Looking to start for the 20-21 season.

Below are the base rules that I've come up with. I am open to all suggestions or feedback regarding the rules, and expect there will be some changes. I have experience with fantasy hockey but only a limited amount with fantasy soccer (as it's tough to find enough local epl soccer fans in Canada who are interested).

Looking for 10 - 20 teams, and I am ok with either a paid or free league, as long as the managers remain committed and the league is competitive.

General Scoring System: Head-to-Head Most Categories

Schedule League will run from Game weeks 1 - 35 Play-offs will run from Game weeks 36-38

Play-offs

Championship: Top 6 teams in the league make play-offs, the 1st and 2nd placed teams get a bye in the first round (3 rounds total). Winner and runner up take the prizes (80/20). Winner gets additional $5M budget for next season, runner up gets $2M.

Consolation bracket: The remaining 4 teams + the 2 teams knocked out of the first round of play-offs (they get a bye the first round). Winner will get additional $5M budget for next season.

Player Pool All active and reserve players must be on a premier league team Prospects can include any players

Rosters Maximum Total Players: 17 Maximum Active Players: 11 Maximum Reserve Players: 6 Maximum Minor League Players (prospects): 5 11 Keepers heading into the next season + all minor league players (6 players dropped)

Minor League Eligibility:

Constraint Player age at present time is 23 years or younger Player has under 38 regular season total games played

Team Budget Each team will begin the season with $30,000,000 in team funds Funds can be used to pick up free agents Funds will be carried over into the next season for the draft auction Additional funds will be added at the end of the season (same for every team plus additional for champions, runner up) Funds can be included as part of a trade

Transactions

Lineups Lineup changes are executed: Each Game Week Lineups will become locked 0:05 (hours:minutes) before start of game

Trades Trading Period: All Year except for between trade deadline to end of the season Trade Deadline: After Game week 30

of Objections Required to veto a trade: 6
Team funds are able to be traded

Claims/Drops Free Agent players can be picked up by being bid on with a minimum bid of $1M, bids will be hidden. Every Wednesday at 5PM ET bids are processed, the player will go to the highest bidder

A team’s funds at the end of the previous season will be carried over, along with a base amount provided to each team. This will be the draft budget. Remaining funds after the draft will be the amount you have left for free agent signings.
