For a few beautiful seconds I thought I had won by two points (Zimm's 1st post) but in reality I lost by a single point!

...and for the 2nd week running despite my striker scoring a hat-trick (and last week 5 goals in fact) I have lost again!

Another week and another loss for Pa. He is soon to be losing his Division 1 status if he's not careful. He hasthe best opportunity next weekend as he faces Snorth. Second bottom (3 points) and the scorer of just 6 this weekend (as Rainycat does indeed stroll to a definite victory).

SL8 leads the way on goal different. Him and Spooge both have maximum points

no hat-trick scoring strikers for the first week so far...

Very close weekend with 4 of the games decided by less than 10 points.
Another week and another defeat for Pa. Only 1 win in the last 8 (5 defeats on the trot).

Spoogehead is 3 points clear of SL8 and Rainycat.

Never fear Pa. You played him this week and he was equally as charitable.
Pa's first win of the season and mid table mediocrity is already in your sights.

SL8 and Spoogehead have opened up a 3 point lead at the summit, but they go head to head next time out.

Next time round DC and Snorth face off with the loser perhaps going bottom of the league.

Been well busy at work - all these damn people wanting food and drink etc etc.

Was pretty disappointed to lose to ya Pa, especially after your performance in the leagues so far. Think I was taking pity on you - I can't get a result at the minute

I always get off to a slow start Dan, because I don't like to peak to early in the Season.

I think my players are finding it tough with the new training regime that I've implemented. Maybe going up a division too soon is a step too far at the moment

Phase 2 - Week 6
Owing to the extraordinary weather (and the fact only 2 games have been played, this weeks La Log fixtures (league and cup) have been cancelled.

Rescheduling it is tricky so here is the solution;

We will use the midweek fixtues at the end of the month.
However - 4 teams dont have a game (Man U, Hull, Man City and Stoke).
Therfore we will use the Carling Cup game between Man U and Man C (from the 19th). Hull and Stoke will not have a fixture

I have tried to look at other possibilities (using FA Cup games etc) but cannot see a fairer alternative.

Stoke will possibly be the biggest hit, but I cant imagine many being affected by Hull's lack of fixture.

Remaining Fixtures
16-Jan (also cup L16)
26-Jan* (also cup quarters)
30-Jan (and the cup semis)
06-Feb (and cup final)

* and the Man City v Man Utd Carling Cup fixture from the 19th

Pa seems to have put his woeful start behind him with back to back wins.
The same cannot be said of DC, who registers his 5th straight defeat. This time at the hands of Snorth. Although mid-table, Snorth isnt exactly pulling up any trees on the scoring front, but its still enough to overcome DC.

Spoogehead gets back to winning ways and puts some daylight in between him and the others (Rainycat, SL8 and Luton) who are all just 3 points behind.
