I've now deleted the threads where people had listed their line-ups (just to make it easier looking through).

My new line-up is a bit hit and miss, I could either give someone a mauling or take a beating myself!!
This week against A4E though, I fancy giving him a mauling!!

Think i have dished out a bit of a beating on Mrs Bell.......
We both have Bosingwa and Ronaldo, then Mrs Bell has Evra, but i can see that Evra and raise with Agger, Gerrard and Yakubu

Fairly close between the Doc and I with a host of 'same' players, I just fear for the worst unfortunately!

Nothing to fear Takeshi...I make it a 3 point difference in your favour...that 7 rating for Torre's cameo was the differenceTakeshi Kovacs wrote:Fairly close between the Doc and I with a host of 'same' players, I just fear for the worst unfortunately!

Re: La Log - 08/09 - Phase 2 - Premiership
5 of this weekends bottom 8 teams came from the Prem. However, this didnt stop some very close and entertaining games;
In the midlands derby, the Ton uses all his experience to see off the challenge of Premiership new-boy Gaz. Not a great deal in it, just 6 points the difference. Fortunately his good buddy is off in the Alps somewhere and his bragging will be limited to e-mail taunts! Fellow promotee (Takeshi) is enjoying his stint in the top flight a bit more. Another win means he's got a 100% record so far (albeit, after only 2 games).
The curse of the title continues... first Miles T was relegated (several times) after lifting the crown. Then SDHough went down following his title and now Arsenal4Ever mirrors his beloved Gooners and is enduring a right old struggle!
Week 2
Gazwood 27 - 33 The Ton
Zimmerman 34 - 37 Mrs Bell
Schlock 21 - 29 Zita
Takeshi Kovacs 47 - 23 Crompton
Arsenal4Ever 28 - 42 The Doc
Week 3
The Doc - Gazwood

Zita - Takeshi Kovacs
Mrs Bell - Schlock

Re: La Log - 08/09 - Phase 2 - Premiership
Despite only scoring 17, I manage to overcome the highflying Ton.
This opens the door for Takeshi to open a lead at the top. The only Prem player with a 100% record.
Current title holder Arsenal puts a stop to the rot and gets his first points of the season.
Schlock gets yet another pasting from Mrs Bell and finds himself propping up the table.
Week 3
The Doc 14 - 23 Gazwood
Crompton 26 - 38 Arsenal4Ever
Zita 10 - 27 Takeshi Kovacs
Mrs Bell 49 - 14 Schlock
The Ton 11 - 17 Zimmerman

God knows how I managed to pull off a win this week.
With star man Torres still out injured for Gaz, I fancy Zimm to give his 'mentor' a bit of a pasting this weekend!

I'm hoping to make it back to back wins at the expense of my Villa supporting brothers.gazwood wrote:God knows how I managed to pull off a win this week.

Re: La Log - 08/09 - Phase 2 - Premiership
Takeshi maintains his 100% record (1 of only 3 teams); this week casting aside the once dominant Mrs Bell.
Hot on TK's heels is Gazwood. They both got promoted as 1 and 2 in the Championship last season and they occupy the same positions in the top flight.
After losing his first two game, current champ Arsenal has record back to back wins and is now up to 4th place.
Despite a win against the piste up Ton, Schlock still finds himself at the bottom of the table. However, there is only 3 points separating 3rd and 10th.
Week 4
Gazwood 41 - 37 Zimmerman
Schlock 43 - 22 The Ton
Takeshi Kovacs 43 - 27 Mrs Bell
Arsenal4Ever 51 - 32 Zita
The Doc 34 - 39 Crompton
Week 5
Crompton - Gazwood
Zita - The Doc
Mrs Bell - Arsenal4Ever
The Ton - Takeshi Kovacs
Zimmerman - Schlock
