Week 2

Victorious by just three points last weekend, Gazwood benefits from a single point victory this week with Dr Bell the loser.

Next weekend sees maximum points pa102 take on nil points Rainycat.
In a similar match up, Demorgoth takes on Kid Kongo

Red Dog 49 - 19 Rainycat
pa102aw 29 - 13 Karrde
Gazwood 25 - 24 Dr Bell
Birchy 37 - 15 Kid Kongo
Demorgoth 27 - 16 Takeshi Kovacs

Just looking ahead to my next battle... with Gazwood
DrBell - Gazwood
James - Green
Bosingwa - Bosingwa
Young - Agger
Lescott - Lescott
Hreidarsson - Baines
Lampard - Lampard
Gerrard - Young
Palacios - Dos Santos
Ashton - Tevez
Crouch - Bent
Yak - Torres

Looks like it could be a tough game for me - defences would look well matched except for another very hard game for Pompey :-( Gerrard is the key to my more expensive midfield delivering the goods, and upfront Im pretty nervous.

To be honest, I will be very interested to see how this game goes, as while I am very happy with my team - Gazwood's team looks a lot like the team I would have entered were I to enter a gambling team rather than my "solid 11". Actually, Tevez, Young and Green were in my selection for a considerable amount of time before being nudged out, but Bent, Dos Santos, Agger and Baines are all players I considered strongly but decided to play safe. As I said, they would all have been in a 2nd gambling 11 had I had hte cash to enter one. Will my Steady Eddie approach to TW1 pay off?
No.

Demorgoth vs kid kongo

Robinson vs Gomes
Bale vs Baines
Agger vs Agger
Bosingwa vs Bosingwa
G Neville vs G Neville
Diarra vs Bentley
Essien vs Lampard (both Chelsea)
Barry vs Young (both Villa)
Yakubu vs Bent
Torres vs Torres
Tevez vs Van Persie

Somehow I don't think clean sheets will make much difference between us two this week...

defence we have 3 the same, plus I've got a spurs defender and the Kid has spurs keeper. Everton and Blackburn are the only clean sheets that could split us in defence, though if I get 5 clean sheet for Blackburn, Kid gets 2 from his midfield Bentley where I've got Pompey. Rest of the midfield clean sheets are matched.

Looks like it'll be down to 7+ and the odd goal

Funny thing is, I only managed to get my teams in at the last minute. This was my 'main' team, the one I spent over a month tweaking, considering, weighing the options, and evaluating the prospects. The final week was busy as hell for me, and I only managed to get online to register on the Friday night before entry closed, and found the 2-team option with pre-paid transfers was decent value, so I had to enter a second team in a rush without thinking much about it. Main team is on 48, rushed team is on 72... heh

Anybody pick up on the fact that I am undefeated with a great goals for tally, and ............... I don't have a single Man United player in my team. :D There's a moral in there somewhere.

Looked poor for me but the RVP double...and the Yak mis-firing for once (although I'm gutted for my other teams) seems to have helped me here..........we'll see after tomorrow demo........good luck but I could do with getting off the mark!!

My grand total for this weekend was a monumental.... THREE POINTS!

I think you're safe, lol. RVP alone netted you 15 points.

Despite only scoring 19 points, its enough for Karrde to register a win and jump from 6th to 1st

The bottom 3 all registered wins in what is now the tightest division.

Despite being 1st and 2nd, Karrde and Gazwood could easily find themselves bottom of the table next match.

Week 3
Takeshi Kovacs 18 - 9 Red Dog
Kid Kongo 21 - 3 Demorgoth
Dr Bell 37 - 14 Birchy
Karrde 19 - 12 Gazwood
Rainycat 53 - 25 pa102aw

Unlucky demo but I sincerely thank you for your merciful act of charity!!

Well....looks like another cracker again next week (not!!).....

Takeshi Kovacs vs kid kongo

Kirkland vs Gomes
C. Davies vs Agger
Bosingwa vs Bosingwa
Baines vs Baines
G.Neville vs G.Neville
Gerrard vs Young
Lampard vs Lampard
Kapo vs Bentley
Bent vs Bent
Torres vs Torres
Adebayor vs Van Persie

We've both scored a sensational 61pts in three games.....so should be an absolute cracker!
I predict a 14-13 scoreline either way......come on now, what more could the fans ask for?!!

Just looked at the next fixture against Gazwood.
Think with my dead Essien I'll be stuffed.

Common players
Green
Lescott
Young
Tevez

That leaves
(me first)
Terry v Bosingwa
Johnson v Agger
Neville v Baines
Essien v Lampard
Huddlestone v Dos Santos
Defoe v Torres
Keane v Bent

Mmmm , not looking great

I thought Defoe would have won it for you RC, but Lampard's 8 NOTW boni coupled with JT's sending off might have swung things back in my favour!

17 total for me, and Dr Bell has Lampard... don't really need to do any adding up to realise the result here lol.

And as usual, my second team that took all of 5 minutes to decide on, scooped 41 this week. Typical

Yeah back to standard form for me.
We've both got Young so I think you've got this one sewn up mate.
Lol , I've got one team with Vidic Neville Agger and Terry - I dont even want to look at that teams score!

After a quick calculation, I think we both have a monster score of 17!!

So only a 7 for either Bent or Dos Santos tonight can sneak it for me. (Having said that, i'd rather a Villa win and a share of the spoils between us RC! )
