And as usual, my second team that took all of 5 minutes to decide on, scooped 41 this week. Typical
I hit dizzy heights of 26 points this week, with Luke Young still to play...
I see you have Bale and Barry still to play, so this one is far from decided at the moment I think...

Oh yeah, I forgot Mondays counted too. ANd I thought Lamps woulda won it for you on his own, so glad to see there's still hope... Though Bale has so far this season matched his entire score for me last season (TW2&3) with a resounding negative 3 total. One day he's gotta turn the corner!

Sorry Demorgoth, I'd given up on this one - well happy to pick up the win...
Pretty happy with this team now, especially with Gerrard and Lampard tonight - shame this game doesn't include midweek matches... :-(

must be one of the lowest scoring weekends ever. I may even be on minus points thanks to Portsmouth - me having Johnson more precisely

I believe that would be yourself!

I gave my lads the week off as I know that you're not a threat to my promotion ambitions!

Yes indeed, Gaz managed a whopping 0 points which is more than some (isnt it Dr Bell).

An average of just 12 points managed between all 31 La Log managers all points to a very close weekend (and poor dream team managing).

Biggest margin of victory goes to Birchy and his 12 point "drubbing" of Rainycat.

Just 1 point now separates the top 6.
Rainycat and Kid Kongo are in a relegation battle.
9th placed KK will be hoping for victory against Dr B next weekend to leap frog him and drag him into the mire.

Week 5
Kid Kongo 7 - 15 Red Dog
Dr Bell -1 - 10 Takeshi Kovacs
Karrde 8 - 19 Demorgoth
Rainycat 0 - 12 Birchy
pa102aw 5 - 0 Gazwood

Hmm well now , I thought Torres' double and notw 8pts had finished me off in my match with Demorgoth. But the Pompey result gives me some hope with a Johnson clean sheet , Defoe goal , and Demor's Diarra getting sent off. This could be close.

Takeshi stays top thanks to a convincing win against one-time leader Karrde.

Last week there were 5 teams within a point of TK, now there are just 3.
Gazwood, Demorgoth and pa102aw, with the latter two facing each other next weekend.

Rainycat is now mathematically out of the title race, but he can play his part when he takes on TK next weekend.

Week 6
Red Dog 40 - 68 Gazwood
Birchy 49 - 63 pa102aw
Demorgoth 60 - 41 Rainycat
Takeshi Kovacs 66 - 20 Karrde
Kid Kongo 73 - 49 Dr Bell

With just 2 weeks of the season remaining, Takeshi is still top.
Realistically, there are 4 teams with a chance of gaining promotion.
Defeats for Demorgoth and pa102aw (at the hands of Gazwood and Takeshi respectively) will end their aspirations.

Rainycat is clinging on to Championship survival by a very thin thread.
A win next week otherwise he's down.

Birchy only has marginally better chances of survival.

Week 7
Dr Bell 35 - 23 Red Dog
Karrde 11 - 37 Kid Kongo
Rainycat 16 - 35 Takeshi Kovacs
pa102aw 39 - 29 Demorgoth
Gazwood 34 - 24 Birchy

Image

Next Match
Red Dog - Birchy
Demorgoth - Gazwood
Takeshi Kovacs - pa102aw
Kid Kongo - Rainycat
Dr Bell - Karrde

Demo vs Gazwood

Robinson vs Green
Agger vs Agger
Bos vs Bos

Neville vs Baines
Bale vs Lescott
Essien vs Lampard
Barry vs Young
Diara vs dos Santos
Yakubu vs Bent
Tevez vs Tevez
Torres vs Torres

Looks like Everton and Spurs will decide things.

Everton away to Arsenal, so fingers crossed they won't keep a clean sheet, and Spurs strike force isn't exactly prolific though you gotta fancy them bagging a few at Stoke. Neville Neverplays and Essien still out for me, Diarra too probably, but hopefully Robinson will be back in time to travel to Bolton, though I doubt that will be a nil-nil. If Lampard continues in his current form, he'll probably win it for you

Is there a transfer window now or does it come into play once 'phase 1' is done and dusted. I could research it myself I suppose, but i have no doubts there is someone out there willing to do it for me 8-)

I reckon as was last year gaz we have to pm our transfers to zim during this window as from now?
Could you clarify please zim?

Myself and Karrde were pretty even (garbage) throughout our teams this week and as I suspected Torres won it for me.

ps....I know I shouldn't have picked him in the first place but the Baines (6) mark this week was such an injustice!

In La Log, the transfers will be made during the break between "seasons" (so between 8th and 15th November).

Actually, just noticed - I need to beat Gaz by 13 points or more AND hope TK beats Pa.

Top two only go up, right?

Correct, only two go up. There will be another game after the one against Gaz though...

Week 9 (final fixture)
Karrde - Red Dog
Rainycat - Dr Bell
pa102aw - Kid Kongo
Gazwood - Takeshi Kovacs
Birchy - Demorgoth

In fact, looking at it, the final week could be very interesting in this division;
Potentially Gaz and TK could be playing for the one promotion spot. I suppose feasibly, a win might not be enough for either
