I've seen on twitter a few regulars from ffs setting up cash mini leagues but they are either taking a % of the pot as an admin fee or are giving themselves a free entry into the leagues.
An I wrong in thinking this is pretty shocking or is it the new precedent in running a cash league.
Never seen anyone on fiso take a cut of mini league money for the "hassle" of running a league

Re: Fantasy mini league chairmen taking % of pota
Fantasy football is governed by gambling legislation which is why most games are restricted to UK and possibly Irish entrants these days. It seems to be accepted that groups based on offices or Fiso are OK if the organiser isn't doing it for profit. But anyone taking a percentage could be on thin ice. In one sense it could be likened to ignoring the copyright of EPL fixtures in that for the most part "they" probably won't bother with small fry, but you can never be sure.

Poor form. If you want a cut of the entry fees then play well enough to win. I used to organise my work's minileague for several years and always paid my entry fee. I went even further in the other direction by donating my winnings to charity a few times. My worst problem as ML organiser was to collect entry fees from other folk.
