This thread began several years ago partly in tribute to the Post's 72-page football season preview and its accompanying comprehensive player stats. It's not surprising that some raucous forumites are grudging about the content. But no one can expect to forecast 20 starting line-ups accurately, say, an hour before the season, let alone ten days ahead, as in this case. The 'Best XI' shown - note
not a starting line-up prediction - is invaluable in that it offers those with an open mind some pointers in identifying potential.
To my mind, the Racing Post has been - and remains - the best-value preview in print.
