Will probably go and get a paper copy later.
By the time you read this Wenger may have signed a hulking centre-back and an experienced holding midfielder. But it seems unlikely. So he needs to sign a hulking centre-back and an experienced holding midfielder.

Euro 2012 preview

Post by SamD »

The provisional date for the publication of the Euro 2012 pullout in the Racing Post is Wednesday 30 May.

Historically, this has included an analysis of the players, matches and betting as well as the potential line-up of each team.

Cheers for that, was thinking about that the other day.

The 442 mag preview is out too. The usual half decent read, line-ups are laughable but ok.

I've splashed out, some useful stats but they have Sooooo many pundits in there that just about every possible bet has been backed by one person or another

Helpful in terms of possible line ups and qualifying stats

I downloaded it online and it is very good. Perhaps all that's lacking is the kind of quality "who might drop out if Spain go more attacking" info that The Ton has done a sterling job of in his preview thread.

I imagine quite a few newspapers printed their Euro previews today. Any decent or half-decent ones?

None spotted on Saturday; perhaps more likely on Sunday?

The Guardian one hopefully on Monday? Always good value, the only time I buy that paper every two years! Don't think they did Euro 2008 with no home nation involvement, but otherwise I think I have every one since 1998.

Season 2012-13

The Big Kick-Off guide to the football season is free with the Racing Post on Wednesday 8 August (costs £1.90).

A bonus this year is that a preview of the final golf major, the US PGA Championship, is also in the Post that day.
