Arripez united

He always plays 442 or 433
3 good headers in defence, but no useful skills anywhere else

If its Arippez United, I'd be prepping for a 442, marking Hunter and tightening the wings. Even if he plays a varied offence, 66% of his goals are coming from headers.

(Also bear in mind you have Mackenzie in defence who's good with headers - if the above stats weren't available, I might consider leaving the headers to Mackenzie & tightening the centre as you've nobody quick)

I wouldnt worry about that for now. You have plenty of new blood in already and plenty of time to sort the defenders ages out.

The team looks really well set up, some nice players, SQs where you need them. Thats going to get better and better that team.
kizkiz wrote:Quick Question, what is the best counter for a varied offence?
The knowledge that you opponent is a pretty crap manager :P

You can go normal if you want, but Varied gets a bit of countering from either of the other options, so I wouldnt worry about it. Just set your own tactics up to rip through him.

Early days, but a good start with 3 wins out of 3 in the league 8-) which includes wins against both relegated teams from division 6.
Next up is an away game against the league leaders, although i can't see how they have won all three games
DV going nicely too, with most players around double figures already

Bit close this league. 9 games played.

1. Galo 24
2. Jabroni 21
3. Bedskydive 21

Have lost 1-0 away to Galo and 2-1 away to a crap side after getting a player sent off when 1-0 up
Only conceded 5 goals.

1st and 3rd play each other next week, and i still have to play both at home, so still in my hands potentially.
DV looking very nice with most players in the teens and a couple on 16 already 8-)
The really annoying thing is Rohrer getting injured weeks ago and not back until the 19th june. He will have been out for a month. He was nailed on for a DJ this season, as he was already on DV14

Really frustrating season.
Galo have wonevery bloody game, almost.
I beat them at home to go top on goal difference, then promptly drew at home in the next game to 3rd place bedskydive, who have been winning a lot recently.
Still, fine 6-0 win today, with 4 stars vs 1  , 11-0 in shots and 71% possession!!

So, am now guarenteed 2nd place for the playoffs, but relying on Galo losing at home to the second bottom team to win it
W10 D1 L2 and still only second ffs
Still, DV looks good

Went for DV instead of the win in the dead last game. Galo won, so it was out of my hands anyway
The wierd thing is that nobody got any DV at all for the last game
Rohrer and hupkes have been stuck on 15 for about 4 games now, despite playing every game
Still looking promising for the change report anyway

G - 11/13 - 33
D - 13/16 - 32
D - 16/15 - 24
D - 17/16 - 23
D - 16/15 - 22
D - 16/16 - 16
M - 14/14 - 27
M - 18/17 - 24(already sk10 and star)
M - 16/16 - 24
M - 17/16 - 22
M - 17/16 - 18
M - 17/16 - 17
M - 15/14 - 17
F - 15/13 - 21
F - 15/14 - 20
F - 13/14 - 17

Are the playoff games two legs?

Well i think this draw confirms what i thought.....i had a very tough league for division 7.

England FC - how on earth did this team make a playoff?
Luckily he has half his team banned or injured, including his best players
If i don't win this by at least 5 clear goals i will quit with embarrasment

Hope you managed to squeeze an extra DV bar or two out of the match too.

Annoyingly, both forwards remain stubbornly on 15DV. They play every game and never bloody go up!
Just for you, have you seen how many HT defenders i now have?

Ok, decision time
Need to sell a mid for cash, too many etc
pamart is 19/6 Estimated value: 2 800 900 econ - Was bought for 1 571 500 econ (Big mouth, cheat, all round)
Rui costa 18/5 4 043 600 econ Was bought for 4 762 000 econ (Freekick)
Jaime 18/4 1 499 800 econ Was bought for 952 400 econ (Quick, shooting power, cheat, stamina)

Who would you sell?
I'm leaning towards pamart as the other two are on a similar path and have some awesome SQ's. Rui costa was always supposed to be a long term buy as i have no FK in mid

Where are they in their skill band kiz? I'd look at that first then who has the best F/AF.

However I'd be selling one of my mid 20 defenders, they are just not good enough long term. Spirey always says to aim for 25/12 and these guys have missed the boat.

Go into change reports it will tell you by what % each player has increased. The skill of the player will be to a single decimal point above or below the actual skill. For example a 4 skill will be anywhere between 3.6 and 4.5. (even skill numbers are rounded down)

With a bit of simple maths you can, after a few seasons work out where the player is at by tinkering with the % point.

Hmm, not sure i get that
What do you get from this?
25/10 11%
24/10 13%
23/8 11%
22/8 9%
21/7 13%

As a 24\10 he was below 9.9, or the 11% would have given him more than 1 bar and he would have jumped...

He's gone from 8.5 (8) to 9.5 (10) and is now on 10.5 (10) looked after properly he should still get 3 bars in the next 3 years easily imo. No way would I sell.

However if you want to sell :-
- play him to get his DV over 10 and sell him as an under evaluated mid season.
- try and double him this season with DV of 17 or 18.

25/11 10%
24/10 9%
23/9 9%
22/8 9%
21/8 17%

So, at 22/8 he was 8.4, then 9.4, 10.4, 11.4?

Thanks for this guys :D

All these are my guesswork, please don't take them as 100% gospel,I'd hate to be responsible for you selling the wrong player.

Current team
Was thinking about selling jaime (worth 3.4 mill apparently) as he's not developed at 20/6. Use the funds to buy a decent mid and set youths to forward.
Other than that, not much to do i don't think
