Mido's back

Post by Johnee »

And facing Sunderland over the weekend. Looks like a transfer in to me (if you have enough left).

Then the re-arranged match against Wigan the following Saturday.. not a bad combo of fixtures! Def worth a transfer cos he can only go up.

Yes but the week after the Wigan game they don't have a game (25th Feb) when all the other premiership clubs do, as they were supposed to play Wigan when the Carling cup final is on.

I think the best time to buy Mido will be after that, but also as Spurs are out of the FA cup it may work against you as you miss out on cup matches and the all important mid-week replays. Hmmm, tricky one.

I won't be rushing to put Mido in my non monthly team, not even sure about my monthly effort. Can't see him doing much in the long term and who knows how this will affect him and Jol for that matter.

I know what you're saying about the lack of fixtures but strikers are by far the most transferred players. Most weeks, you have to juggle with at least one to take in the new riser.

If Mido rises by a few hundred in transfers before the weekend (as you would expect ) and then scores a few goals in the next two games, he'll have been well worth the transfer. You'd probably have to move for the new rising striker anyway in 10 days time, so I dont reckon it's a waste.

I hope.

i agree with you johnee . it is almost irrelevant whether or not your strikers score or not - the gains from transfers are much higher. eg robbie fowler 1 million in a week , michael owen 2 million in 24 hours . the creation of the 2006 league has made demand-based transfers all-important again

forgot to mention , rasiak is off to southampton so i dont think jol can afford to let midos little strop affect his first team chances

If I do go for it, it won't be until tomorrow anyway as all my current strikers are playing tonight except Henry and I don't plan on subbing Henry any time soon

I think Demo's right about tomorrow - most people will have budgeted with tonight's games in mind (I know I did) so will want to wait for them. I was lucky I had one striker who was waiting for a transfer out.

Mind you, if anyone *still* has Gerrard to get rid of, Mido might be an obvious swop unaffected by tonight.

my latest prediction is Drogba to get the hero bonus on monday after having lifted the ACN trophy tomorow - got to try something different to catch the leaders , eg Boro defenders !

Yep, I know what you mean. I nearly put Schwarzer in for Reina but went for the safe option. I'm currently working out how to shoe horn Gerrard back in on Monday after almost breaking the budget with Chelsea players recently.

Mido could well get the negative fantasy fiver next week for his antics with the Egyptian coach. I'm not brave enough to buy him now.

well the article does say thay he could be back for Sundays game, but I reckon you're right - even if he's back I can't see him anywhere other than on the bench.

Looks like the Mido plan finally payed off. Good to see a healthy number of FISO members in the top 50. Andy, you could give Mr Forscutt a run for his money, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th spot - not bad :)

You can see some of them as the top dozen of the FISO FORUM friends' league.
