The Singapore Cup champions are Home United. So half the time you can actually say that the Home team are playing away. I must go to one of their matches sometime and lead a chant of "Go Home!", which can apply supporters from either side. :)

And in our PC society I'm sure you would be instantly thrown out and banned from the ground for being a racist.

it could've been homo united.
i rectum, ah i mean reckon that Total Network Solutions is a commercial cop-out. i couldn't imagine man united becoming Glazer's Greats or something like that.

Also Dandy Town, sounds just.....

i have also seen a team called "11 ideas" in one of the cape town leagues .... always wondered what the 11 ideas were exactly -

1. total football
2. long ball game
3. play with attacking wings
4. play with no wings
5. swamp the midfield
6. outmuscle the opponents
7. two touch passing
8. man to man marking
9. zone marking
10. sweeper/libero
11. rush goalie (!?)

I spotted this one last nnight while watching some footy show about croatians. I kmow its not a team name but Bruge have a right back called Olivier De Cock. and that warrants a mention.

Way off football now, but just can't resist mentioning it when I hear "funny names", but I had a meeting with an HSBC exec in their international banking operation in Hong Kong three years ago. He hands me his business card....his name......King Kong.

I often wonder how my buddy from Aston University is doing now. Surname Quick, and his parents named him Justin (!).
