Defoe & Benjani

Post by viddleodge »

i guess it's going ahead but if ya haven't heard,
defoe looks like going to pompey
and benjani to man c

so at 7.5 mil in fpl defoe might be tasty value.
will wait and see.

less keen on getting benjani at man c but we'll see.

I would say benjani looks like the better bet. If benjani plays he will have a lot of service.. elano, petrov sending balls his way...

I think Benjani might do well at City :!:

Assuming Benjani were not to enter the fold, any thoughts on whether Sturridge might become a regular to the starting eleven? (probably crazy talk)

City have also signed 19 year old striker Felipe Caicedo from FC Basle for £5.2M

I am a City fan and have been doubting Benjani all season {especially the majority weeks I did not have him and he scored hattricks} but somewhere in me I feel this move will be very benificial, I think the Man City midfield can provide Benjani with all kinds of striking positions and opportunist moments - hopeful is the word...

Except that Benjani doesn't work off the kind of balls that Petrov sends in - he's more of a ground player. There again, maybe it'll be the making of him :?

As for FPL, I've got Benjani already so I guess I'll hang on and see what happens.

The deal was not done in time, so I quess that Benjani will continue in Pompey for the rest of the season... with Defoe also coming in.

Lets see what happens, cladly I don't have Benjani at the moment.

City will have to do with new signing Caicedo and Sturridge at the moment.

Yes I'm working in development cooperation in western Nepal. In a Finnish funded Water Resources Development Project.

Quite interesting places to work, but internet works so can continue playing FPL, except when visiting the working villages... which sometimes takes many days of walking and even 3 weeks time in total. So sometimes difficult to manage the team.

An old gentleman participating in one of our project meetings in a remote village in Humla district near Tibetan border.

I won't reveal any names, so he wont sue me for using his photo...

Is Kanu fit at the moment? I've got Benji but with Kanu returning after the ANC and Defoe around makes it highly likely Benji will be starting more and more on the wing, if at all?

Personally I wouldn't touch anything to do with Pompey at the moment, the African Cup seems to have really affected them.

Did Portsmouth also sign Baros? All a bit of a joke with what happened with Benjani. What state of mind will he be in now he knows the club wanted to ship him out in the space of 24 hours? Defoe will be good value I reckon - pretty sure he will play most games.

Hope they make their minds up soon.

I'll be selling him (today?) if he stays at Pompey but I'll hold on if he has gone to Citeh in case he hits the ground running.

In that case, they should still allow the Torres to QPR deal to go through, which failed because Torres was late arriving. So late in fact, he still hasn't turned up.
