Damn Statistics - Steady form?

Post by Tort »

Just been loading all the stats into a pivot table

Heres a few things

Percentage of bonus point making up a teams total point and as a % of the total bonus points awarded in total(why are villa getting so many bonus?)
Image

Where teams points are coming from

Could someone explain why no bolton defender has got a single bonus point?
Image

Evertons defenders have been booked the same number of time as Lehman

Unsung heros - Players with no bonus point but scoring over 50 points

Image

The Bonus Kings
It would appear that essien does less for his bonus than Fabregas (or are the rewarding him for when he plays in defence?)

Cheers for that, Tort.
A few seasons ago AV got an inordinate amount of bonus points, too. Enough to cause rumours of the FPL.com guys being closet Villains!

Awesome Tort! :D

So that means that I need to sell all my players and buy 10 players who cost £7.7m and a striker who costs about £12.3m to captain every week??? :?

I thin kit means, the more you spend on a playerm the more points you will score ;-) Looks like FPL players are right on the money :D

Nice stuff Tort.

Hope you don't mind if I jump in here as well with a few but it's does seem to be the right place to do it.

Just waiting for this weeks update to finish then I'll do the League/Gameweeks/TopXXXX as promised in the Rounded Keeper a few days ago but in the meantime lucanjerry was looking for solice over that fact that he had 26.1m scoring nil points so I thought I'd have a quick gander to see if I could find worse.

The Most-money-tied-up-in-players-who-score-zero stat (on the bench)

The strange weeks produced the biggest - notably GW33 where a fair numer of teams didn't play - so for those with Cech, Ronaldo,Drogba and Lampard (there were 2) that's an incredible 42.2M on the bench. While there are good reasons for that - it's still a massive number :?

However if those weeks odd weeks are excluded (GW16, 28 & 33) the record is in GW5 with 35.5M (VdS, Henry, Giggs and McCarthy). After that there are plenty from that point onwards.

lucanjerry - your worst (again discounting the odd weeks) was also GW5 (27.2M) .

I managed a 28.2M in GW14 of which I'm quite proud :)

.... I'll get my coat

Well, IMHO... the guy giving out bonus points...

1. supports Aston Villa
2. has a grudge against Bolton
3. owns Essien, Fabregas, and Scholes
4. is threatened by Reina and Hahnemann (his private league leader is probably rotating the two)

agree? disagree?

Some more misc stats

Image

This is how we've all been doing so far (Overall Position is cummulative - as in 500 includes the 100's etc)

Interesting that things started to pick up around GW17/18 - A quick look at my own transfers see Henry  Drogba  . Did we all just hold on a little bit too long ?

Top 5000 seems to be somewhere we've been adding to steadily after that Commandment was broken.
