And wouldn't change by the change, or the game, or the fame
When he came, in the game, he made his own lane
Now all I need is y'all to pronounce my name
It's Kanye, but some of my plastic still say Kane (tc)

Re: DGW26 Captain
Salah and Henderson imo are the only 2 Liverpool players that have had their heads up all the way through this period. Salahs head went down against Everton. Usually I’d argue Salahs Liverpool’s 5th best player behind Trent, Robbo, VVD, Mane with insane numbers but credit to him for cracking on during this. From what I’ve seen I can’t say the same about Mane.
From an FPL point of view there’s all that and he can get a cheeky pen.

Salah is the top scorer in the division and on pens!Lucky wrote:Funny that many are talking about Salah and no one seems to have any trust in Mane who could also be a decent option.
Mane is not... Simple

Spurs is just out of sorts and playing against oppositions that defend well. On the contrary, Everton is playing well with all their attackers back and playing against leaky SOU & WBA.
DCL has a much better chance of posting a major haul - so he's a TC for me.

Re: DGW26 Captain
You cannot trust a team like Everton to deliver the goods against supposed weaker opposition. Two tasty fixtures on paper but when Everton are meant to be hot they're simply not and vice versa Good luck if you fancy sticking the captaincy on DCL for example but to go triple captain, a chip that can only be used once a season.....

Can't decide between Bruno, DCL & Salah.... and maybe Son.... Bruno feels pretty safe, safer than Salah. DCL SHOULD deliver both games.

Re: DGW26 Captain
I don't think it's such a big deal. If someone thinks DCL is a better captain, surely he's better TC too? Surety of some points does become a factor because we don't want the chip to fail, but otherwise it shouldn't make a difference.hayesag wrote:You cannot trust a team like Everton to deliver the goods against supposed weaker opposition. What do most Kane(c)ers expect to get? I think he'll very likely get 12-18 points.. nothing more, nothing less. Now that I have him, I'm inclined to TC DCL instead: nobody has, or will get, better fixtures than that. Only problem is they're Monday and Thursday..

Re: DGW26 Captain
I've taken the plunge - Kane TC. I know Spurs are not pulling up any trees but they're playing teams in 15th and 19th and must win both - surely!?
I'm calling a Kane hat trick in one of these two games - total week points = 25 .... x3 = 75

Re: DGW26 Captain
Agree on all points. Bruno is the safest of the lot, but I expect us to draw or lose the Chelsea game. Tuchel is a better tactician than Ole. Salah.. the team behind him just isn't there.finkelele wrote:Can't decide between Bruno, DCL & Salah.... and maybe Son.... Bruno feels pretty safe, safer than Salah. DCL SHOULD deliver both games.
DCL is the ultimate differential to Kane imo. We should be mentally prepared for him to fail, but he could go off big time: the fixtures are there for that. Due to the short gap between his games, there is a slight risk he might not start the second, but that shouldn't discourage from his prospects.

Kane (c), Bruno (vc)
My finger is hovering over the triple captain but Spurs’ current form is holding me back.
Not sure there will be a better week to play it though.

You have to have a captain this week. You don't have to have a TC this week.

Yes, that's the decision to make. But if one does decide to TC, should the captaincy choice change? I don't think so..Ruth_NZ wrote:SirMattBugsby wrote:If someone thinks DCL is a better captain, surely he's better TC too?

Re: DGW26 Captain
Your above statement is correct presuming you are captaining the one you expect to get the most points.SirMattBugsby wrote: ↑27 Feb 2021, 09:49 But if one does decide to TC, should the captaincy choice change? I don't think so..
However, you decide to TC after deciding who to captain not the other way round.

Re: DGW26 Captain
There might be a week where you don't believe there's a great captain full stop, but have to go for someone. You wouldn't waste the TC chip though.
I'm triple captaining Kane though I'm tempted by DCL.

Re: DGW26 Captain
I don't own him, but Kane the clear standout this week imo. Would definitely TC him if I had him.
The best of the rest seem a really lottery. I like DCL but don't feel he's reliable enough to trust with the TC, so it's Bruno or Salah for me. Leaning towards (S)alah given Sheffield United's decimated defence and a slightly higher chance of points at home to Chelsea (compared to Bruno playing them away). I'm a United fan and dont feel very optimistic about a trip to Stamford Bridge! On the other hand, I'm sick of watching 90m of United games without Bruno captain, so maybe I'll go him as an emotional hedge...

Tbh all candidates being mentioned are good this week and are likely to have double digit returns. So in my mind, TC is a good option regardless.Sutter Kane wrote:There might be a week where you don't believe there's a great captain full stop, but have to go for someone. I agree on using TC this week as I dont think we'll get more appealing doubles. City next week but uncertainty over minutes puts me off.
