i definitely prefer Patricio over Martinez and the rest comes to Rashford & Pulisic vs Martial & Son
Patricio is certainly an excellent choice, but I prefer Pope in goal and Saiss as the third Wolves player. Pope gives you additional save points like Patricio, but Saiss might also give you additional attacking points. Food for thought.
Good luck

Re: GW31+ Wildcard
Pretty much exactly my thinking on it, including the nervousness about not having either of them in!johnF wrote: ↑22 Jun 2020, 12:55I'm toying whether to go with Salah/Mane or not. I don't really think there will be too much rotation, and I'm sure they will both get decent scores in the coming weeks, although yesterday's 0-0 didn't really do much to convince me.
The issue for me is really about their high price. Going without them allows a much stronger, more solid all round team and there seem to be a lot of good midfield/striker options in the 6 - 9 million bracket. I also think a decent playing bench will be important over the coming weeks and going without the Liverpool duo allows this.
Also the fact that there are 2 of them from the same team puts me off slightly as you never quite know which of them (if any) is going to haul in a particular week. When its a single expensive superstar like an Henry or CR7 it makes them more of a must-have IMO.
Saying all that though I do feel quite nervous not having any Liverpool attackers especially for Captaincy options.
Perhaps the rotation will be that both of them will still start against strong opponents, and maybe only one or the other starts against weaker opponents?

This could be carnage . Pep rotates 8. Sheff Utd , Villa , Arsenal lost their second game of the restart and perhaps should have rested more .
Games coming thick and fast .
Do you err towards selecting players with good recovery?
Can’t rely on your subs bench. With 5 sub rule there will be so many part appearances.

Re: GW31+ Wildcard
I’m seriously thinking of limiting my City players to one - probably KDB.
Currently got
Pope/Martinez
Lascelles/TAA/Doherty/Femenia/Taylor
Salah/Fernandes/Bergwijn/KDB/Armstrong
Giroud/Rashford/Jiminez
Not sure about Martinez or Taylor.

Re: GW31+ Wildcard
Thought I’d play around with something slightly different for a 3-4-3. Any views appreciated:
Lloris / Martinez
Robertson / Azpilicueta/ Boly / Lascelles / Charlie Taylor
Salah / Fernandes / Pulisic / Traore / Saka
Kane / Firmino / Jimenez
Would bench the two Chelsea players for the City game and planned transfer for the next GW would be:
Firmino > Rashford
After that hopefully a carry then bring in some Man City...

I think I’d be tempted to see whether your pairs tend to score well in the same matches (Jimenez/Jota; Fernandes/Martial..)From4corners wrote: ↑22 Jun 2020, 21:05 Replaced Traoré and Agüero with Mahrez and Jiménez. Wondering if I should invest my 0.8m in the goalkeepers..

Not sure if that makes sense
Also, Newcastle play a load of teams scrapping to stay up- so I’m not sure I’d risk having 2 of theirs at the back.

Due to injury of Agüero my hands are forced again:Lucky wrote: ↑22 Jun 2020, 12:45I have made a few changes following the last matches.Lucky wrote: ↑20 Jun 2020, 22:54 No more Arse for me! I got my fingers burnt again, and I think they have not got much to play for. Auba will want to leave, now that the CL is almost out of reach.
My thoughts are similar to some of the above:
Patricio Martin
Maguire Lascelles Aurier Saiss Robinson (Jack)
KDB Mane Fernandez Son Gilmour
Jimenez Vardy Rashford
0.1 itb
Pope Martin
Doherty Holgate Ritchie Saiss Robinson (Jack)
KDB Mane Fernandez Pulisic Guendouzi
Agüero Rashford Jimenez
Ritchie in good form, decent fixtures and on penalties. Doherty obvious ... Holgate solid with Everton and decent fixtures.
Vardy disappointing for a long time with the exception of the two goals against Villa at home. Agüero a big rotation risk, but whenever he plays, at least he contributes. Very good record against Chelsea, and if necessary, I can always swap him for another good striker. Pulisic also a gamble regarding rotation, but I liked his performance yesterday.
Dubravka Martin
Doherty Holgate Ritchie Saiss Robinson (Jack)
KDB Mane Fernandez Richarlison Guendouzi
Vardy Rashford Jimenez
0.5 itb
I am worried about the depth of Burnley ... maybe Pope not quite the solution.

Huwdo - not sure Firmino will outscore Rashford this week. I’d save the transfer. First team I’ve seen with Azpi. Could be a good differential. Traore/Saka may both be benched at the same time?
F4C - good to ship Kün before the deadline? I’m braving it with Martinez, it is a bit of a risk but I am hedging on an extra playing outfield player. Good team
Adelante - Do you think Giroud will be a regular starter? If so, good fixtures and decent differential. What about Tammy though? Also, genuine query on Bergwijn: I have a really good draft with him in. But will he be a starter when Alli et al are available as well? Love to know that.

Traore could be better than Mahrez over the next couple of games. Perhaps worth giving him a chance and saving the money for Mahrez, Martial or Richarlison if it doesn't work out?From4corners wrote:Replaced Traoré and Agüero with Mahrez and Jiménez. The Firmino idea was a bit of a punt for a differential. Given potential Rashford price rise I’ve stuck him in for now but I don’t know why, I feel like he may not get firing for a while...
Yep- Azpilicueta feels like a solid differential to me. Multi-season form and a good run of fixtures.
On Traore/Saka, I see the risk but hopefully could use Lascelles and Taylor to offset that...
Cheers!

I’ve activated.
Pope, Martinez
TAA, Doherty, Basham, Lowton, C Taylor
Salah, KdB, Bruno, Martial, Saka
Jimenez, Ings, DCL
Tentative plan is to bench boost in GW33 and hope for a 0-0 between Burnley and Sheff. Pulisic is tempting over Martial or Ings but with City up next it’s easy to wait and see for a week. I still have free hit as well if I have an emergency one week.

Gone through loads of different permutations over the last few days but feel settled with this:
Patricio, Martinez
TAA, Doherty, Aurier, Lascelles, Kabasele
KDB, Son, Fernandes, Martial, Foden
Rashford, Jiminez, DCL
0.3 left over to buy some ice cream.

Re: GW31+ Wildcard
Not sure I’m getting the Ings love tbh-Southampton’s fixtures aren’t great...maybe I’m missing something though.
I’ve got Armstrong in my WC as a 4th midfielder tbf, but put in Abraham for now up top instead of Ings. Have considered Vardy too but his form is patchy and his fixtures aren’t great after this week.
WC team currently on:
De Gea
Martin
TAA
Doherty
Aurier
Lascelles
Ritchie
KDB
Fenandes
Son
Armstrong
Saka
Rashford
Abraham
Jiminez
£2.1 M left in the bank that I’ve got no Idea how / where to spend...had considered Ritchie to Alonso or bulking up the MF but not sure.
Decided to ride it out without Salah / Mane for now...hold me.

Pretty much the same price, my final big choice comes down to:
1. Vardy and Wan Bissaka
2. Rashford and VVD
Van Dijk would be benched for the City game so that’s not a factor
I’m torn. Any thoughts?

Not seeing much love for Alonso here, the reason might be rotation risk or the need for funds elswhere?
Current draft for me:
McCarthy/Martin
TAA/Doherty/Alonso/Lascelles/Robinson
KdB/Mane/Son/Fernandes/Barnes
DCL/Jimenez/Greenwood
I’m not really keen on my keepers though but funds have forced my hand.

Re: GW31+ Wildcard
Oh yes, I've hit that good looking team, with the added bonus of a satisfying 0.0 ITB.
De Gea, Martin
TAA, Ritchie, Holgate, Doherty, Saiss
KDB, Son, Fernandes, Saint-Max, Saka
Rashford, Vardy, Jimenez
Saint-Max and Ritchie are a short term punt for their run of three joke fixtures (Villa, Bournemouth, West Ham) and can easily come out after them, or even sit on the bench depending on how things play out.
What do you think? Wondering about bumping Holgate down to a 3.9 for future funds since he'll probably always be third sub anyway.
