Unlucky to those who have already brought Son in. Looks like he's out injured for about 4 weeks

Son was the one player I was half considering taking KdB out for, but I guess now there's no need!

Liverpool premiums seem to just about be the only ones justifying their price at the moment.

Son out :x

All aboard the Mane train (again) :D

Question:

I need to take a hit to fund the mane transfer, would you go

Martial -> Traore
or
Auba -> Jimenez

:?:

go Henderson instead of Mane and save yourself 4 pts?

I'm only partially joking on that one.

Sadly not :?

Looks like I now either bench Son and switch him for Pérez this week.

Or for a -4
Son  ??? Any ideas welcome...

I brought Son in last GW on my wildcard, no harm done, points banked :D , Barnes leaving money in the bank if Chris Wood is broken down :(

So KDB and Greenwood out and Jimenez and one of Barnes/Traore/Redmond in.

The only other player I could possibly lose to fund Jimenez is Vardy but I'm backing him to come good.
Yikes! the Son injury means KDB stays and it's now Son and Greenwood out for Jimenez and one of Barnes/Traore (I believe Redmond also faces a few weeks out now!)

Well, Son's injury is certainly "more pressing" so it looks like I'm taking my first hit since GW4 and going:

Son to Mane
Firmino to Jimenez

Wasn't really looking to lose Firmino but I don't see anything better than that available to me. Kelly will have to wait a week.

Seeing as Auba doesn't play in GW28, I would say that makes that decision for you, if those are the only options you're considering.

I really want Mane for Son, but have Robbo/TAA/Salah. Would have to ditch Robbo to get him. Don’t think its worth it. Son to Traore then with a mind for GW28/31 then.

sheer luck

I had kept 2.0m itb, but that would leave me 0.2m short for Mané (I have 3 LIV already anyway)
I also only have 1 FT, and KDB has BGW28.... Richarlison dire fixtures... Alli??? :?

Looking at Kelly -> a Wolves defender. Anyone reckon Doherty is worth the extra over Boly (or even Saiss)?

Definitely bringing in Jiminez for either Kun or Auba, likely Kun.

Doing that gives me plenty in the bank and nowhere to spend it with Son missing.

One option is TAA and Cantwell > Mane & Boly which I think is an improvement but not 4.7M worth which would be the cost to me.

Alternatively I could punt Cantwell/Hayden out for a mid price mid until after Liv v City and reassess then but Richarlison's fixtures are dreadful, Maddison has done nothing, I already have 3x Saints, Chelsea are inconsistent. Anyone I'm overlooking here?

Only if you've got nowhere else you might need those funds. I think Boly is the best value of the three.

Saiss is excellent value at 4.4 if you are on a budget. He (and Wolves) will benefit from Boly being back.

Are you expecting a hit with the EL starting up again?

I think I've been persuaded on Boly, Saiss seems a bit of a gamble and Doherty doesn't seem to be worth an extra 1.4M... Cheers for the advice all:)

It might be worth holding off on bringing in Wolves players until after tomorrow night's game versus Espanyol, against whom I would expect us to be at full strength.

As an aside, Vinagre is now back in training after injury which would give us the option of switching Jonny over to RWB to replace the slightly out-of-sorts Doherty, with Vinagre coming in at LWB. I'm not saying that will definitely happen but it might be worth keeping an eye on it.

Yes, that's what I've done, plan to get Jimemez and maybe Traore but doing nothing until after your game (all the games in fact), it's already cost me 0.1 but I've got the spare cash and at this stage of the season I'm not really bothered about value.

I currently have two Sheff Utd players (Lundstram/Fleck), two Villa (Mings/Grealish), plus Aub & KDB. Also got dead duck Kelly sitting as injured bench fodder at the moment.

Plus Son out injured. Went with Son -> Barnes this week to free up some cash.

I’ll probably take a hit this week to get another DF in, either Lundstram or Mings for Saiss. But will wait till after Wolves Europa League game.

That will be a -4 hit. But leaves me having to ship out three players for GW28 if I want a starting 11.

Do I take the -8 hit just to get a full eleven. Probably not. But do I take another -4 to get 10 players on the park?

Next week possible Aub -> Jiminez

Don’t want to press the wildcard button too soon.
