Why is everyone transferring Digne out? He will only miss Wolves match. I think most of us can just bench him.

Probably because Everton are shite defensively and he might not even get back into the team.

Digne had been dropped to the bench and only appeared as sub in the 55th minute, then got sent off ten minutes later. Understandable that people are selling.

I think he is still good value for his price, of course assuming he gets back into team which I expect he will do. He has played well, puts up some quality delivery for attackers, great free kicks and good at defending as well. Overall quality player.

Those are last week's points. It doesn't matter anymore unless he will be dropped for good. And I don't think he will, I think he will be back into team after his suspension.

He was dropped for Baines, who picked up an injury. So it does pose the question of who will play there against Wolves, but if Baines isn’t fit, I’d expect Digne to come back in against Man City.

But in response to the question, he now effectively has a SGW against a Man City side that must now win, before a blank in GW27.

My plan was always to downgrade him after the DGW to upgrade a midfielder but all of the above has pushed me earlier to mitigate price falls.

Well, both Digne and Martial have been disasters since I've brought them in, so I'll be definitely using my 2 frees on them.

Unsure on whether to go for Son & Jonny or Pogba & Bednarek.

I know I'm late on the Pogba train, but at the same time I wonder if I've left it too late.

If you don't have a City player at all, it probably is.

Fabianski, Doherty  Ederson, Saiss

Done. Pretty straightforward, have Sane and Richarlison so I'm reasonably happy with that.
Saiss has just been covering whilst Boly has been serving a suspension, which is now complete. I'd be surprised if Saiss keeps his place. Could you not stretch the .1 to Jonny?

In the past I'd get a City defender/GK in for their DGW (Laporte seems the only definite)

But after last night's performance I'm struggling to justify it. 10 clean sheets in 24 games...

Would I be surprised if they conceded against both Arsenal and Everton? Not really. Then I'm stuck with a Premium defender at 5.9 who's not really that good on the attacking returns who I'd want to shift fairly quickly after.

Quite tempted to just have Aguero and Sane as my DGW coverage.

Back to back gameweeks with negative return, and the second gameweek he came off the bench and only last roughly ten minutes.

Digne and Everton are also approaching a fairly unappealing run from GW29 onward in which they rotate red and green/grey fixtures.

There's also the possibility some players are trying to avoid a price decrease if they brought him in at 5.3

I would also depend on what players they have to rotate in. They might not have an appealing option, so they might need to switch from 4 at the back to 3 at the back but not have an appealing midfielder or striker to go 343 or 352.

There's plenty of seasons to sell Digne rather than stash him.

For me I need to get bodies in for gw27 .

Also he’s not that great . Everton don’t keep many clean sheets and he can’t bang in 25 yarders every few weeks

The other factor is do you plan to transfer them out for the blank fixture? If so, it's only a week or so rental. If they come off, great. If they don't, nothing lost other than free transfers.

Obviously if you don't plan to transfer them out and simply bench them, then you aren't getting a benefit from the double gameweek because a team that plays during the blank will have played the same games.

At the minute I'm debating bringing in Stones for Digne, but is Stones nailed on to play both games? I'm not convinced. Nor am I entirely convinced about the minutes Sterling and Sane will play because they can rotate or take them off early. So I'd be reluctant to take out a nailed on started like Eriksen even for the potential DGW with how Pep rotates.

So I've got Aguero and Richarlison for the DGW and two free transfers. I'm trying to talk myself into two DGW players but it's a question of who, though the flip side is I've chased DGWs before and not seen a return (e.g. Gabbiadini).

He has the best defender's assist potential in the whole league: he has created 42 chances of which 12 were big chances, both stats are standout 1st overall among defenders. Everton are not a great defence but all factors considered, I think he is great value for his price. I can understand people need players for GW27, though.

I see there was mention of Pogba possibly having picked up an injury last night and now he's yellow flagged.

If he is out I'm bang on the money to bring in Sterling.

Will probably go for Anderson > Sane for free if Hazard finishes the game unscratched this eve.

Fulham Kamara??

He's going on loan to West Brom, supposedly.

Yep, I'm hoping it doesn't go through. Perhaps he'll punch Darren Moore in the face.

What are you waiting to hear? He punched a member of staff. If he's still a Fulham player by Feb 1st, it'll be a long time before he features for them. Certainly don't include him in any of your plans.

There's a good chance he won't even play for me, and I suspect he'll still get on the park.

I’m looking at the exact same moves.

My other option is to keep Anderson and do Luiz  Laporte, but not sure that I want a City defender at the moment.

The major downside of Anderson is obviously you are taking out a player who has a game in GW27. Slightly regretting my decision to keep Hazard at the moment with them being 4 down to Bournemouth 😂 ahh well.

I've got £5.6m in the bank (for a potential switch back to Kane...) but I'm considering:

Success > Jesus

Basically for a differential. But it'll then cost me a couple of -4s to balance things again.

Please talk me out of it...

Just took Wilson out before he drops tonight for Jiménez. May consider a -4 for Digne to Stones/Laporte but not sure its worth it.

Happy to go into the DGW with just Aguero. Captained. Slight concerned that I don’t have Sané or Sterling but after yesterday’s performance, we could easily see Mahrez/Bernardo play.
