I'm giving very serious consideration to getting him back, this is going to be the period where he'll have to play at his best, and there's every reason to believe he will.

It would not surprise me if Virgil headed one in soon as well.

Probably looking at shifting Auba, nothing particularly wrong with him but I fancy Salah and Kane to do better over the second half of the season. Would love to get Pogba in, but can't see the finances working for me now, as I don't see me losing Hazard or Sterling unless they go badly off the boil.

Their first game is Jan 6th and if they get to the finals (they did in 2011) that's Feb 1st.

I'd be surprised if he played the late kick-off at West Ham on the 2nd, as that's cutting it close and gives almost zero prep time for their first game when you consider flying/time difference. It's not undheard of, but still.

Also kind of related is that Yoshida is going, and he seems to be first 11 under the new Saints boss. This could open up a place for another Southampton cheapie to start throughout Jan!
