I’ve been moaning about this and getting into debates on the pub thread, thinking that sometimes human intervention occurs but realised that made me sound like a conspiracist! Though I have my suspicions! Painful way to exit the cup.

Well my luck has finally run out as i lost my fantasy cup match by a point just because my opponent had Ryan Fraser who has hardly done anything for weeks but just happens to score points when he is facing my team

Why is it every year just when I think I'm going to go far in the competition that a team that I'm facing always has a player that manages to produce something when you are facing them but has not done anything in weeks. It happens to me time and time again which is so annoying. Alright maybe i could have improved my team and play Periera instead of Robertson. But my team was already decent with a great mIdfield of Richarlison, Anderson, Son, Pogba and Hazard and a strikeforce of Rashford and Kane

What have i got to do to actually go far in this competition as it is so frustrating get knocked out early when you have done everything to pick the right team

I spotted the site few seasons ago, and proposed it here, although it was only FPL Statistico at the time

the Live part allows you follwing the matches (plenty of similar tools)
and even updates Live the BPS scores, with single BPS items detail (that's a bit less common)

you can see in the above link for the yesterday match, that Kun has -3 for 1 Big Chance Missed, -3 for being Tackled, -1 for Offside, and -1 for a shot off target.
Didn't follow the match yesterday so can't say when the single negative items occurred,
but I verified using that Live BPS tool this season, that while most items appear and get updated live during the game,
most of the times the "Tackled" item gets added (or rather, subtracted) only AFTER a game has ended,
and it's the most relevant reason for the reshufflings we experience.

I figure it must be an OPTA thing

I currently know the 18/19 teams of 634 Fiso Members
125/634 failed to Qualify for the FPL in GW16
so only 509 Fiso teams started the competion proper in GW17 (Round 1)
after 5 rounds, there are only 41 left, who enter now the Cup Round 6 (GW22)

We have quite a few 'similar' players (they have Kane/Rashford/Pickford, I have Son/Pogba/Digne) - if there is minimal variation between those pairs, I will probably win as their other players aren't too great – but it could easily swing against me!

It all comes down to Doherty for me (well, against me).

If he scores 6 or fewer I'm through.
If he scores 8 or more I'm out.
If he scores exactly 7 I'm out on goals conceded, unless something very unlikely happens!

Looks like there’s a number of us hoping Man City have a quiet night tomorrow...personally less than 15 points from Sané and I’m through. From memory Wolves aren’t bad at the back and have done OK against the big teams, so I’m holding on to that!
