Set and forget team that would lead FPL

Post by zalk »

This is something I find fascinating every season, that there's a set and forget team that would lead FPL. Here's what that team could potentially look like up until now. Should be around 1054 points if I've counted correctly.

W-B at 4m would add a few points elsewhere?

The stats are dark and full of errors.

I'd have thought that there are several teams at this stage, there must be quite a few ways to play out that Hazard and Alonso budget in particular.

Fraser and Wilson probably the least predictable (at the start of the season) in that lineup, and obviously no Salah but apart from that it's not a particularly unreasonable starting squad from GW1.

It's quite interesting that with all the numerous automated entrants we don't see more teams like this in the upper rankings. It would be a lot easier to generate many hundreds of combinations and then let them be, rather than create a few tens of teams that you have to manage.

Yep, I'll have a bash at this in the week if I remember as I'm sure that is way out with that much on the bench, and only 3 Def's playing.

I assume that there is no real Auto-subbing, just basic points....

It would be interesting to do so but with some obvious favourite pre season picks in there too... Arnie would be an obvious one to include even if not officially part of the "best" team. Any yeah AWB on the bench even if he's not officially used in the tally up.

I'm sure you can optimise this further. There were autosubs needed in GW 2, 8, 9 and 10. Steve Cook and Cedric scored well in those weeks, and Capoue had a good GW 9 where he was needed.
