Re: GW11 Captaincy
Salah
not convinced at all about the Arsenal defence, thought Zaha & Townsend caused them plenty of problems last week, and Fulham should have scored a few more against them too. Even Cardiff scored twice against them! and they have defensive injury problems.......
I'm expecting Liverpool to terrorise them. The two good teams (Chelsea/City) they have played this season beat them comfortably and they conceded five goals over those two games. I can't see anything other than a Liverpool win.
Have considered Aguero & Hazard but the game time of Aguero is annoying me and Hazard could easily be protected if they get into a decent winning position.

Yeah, I'm captaining Mané and hoping for a goal fest. The last five games between Ars-Liv has contained 6, 7, 4, 4 and 6 goals.

Been planning to bring in Hazard all week but him not making the bench midweek and Kun being rested completely yesterday has swung it for me. Kun (C) Salah (VC)

Hazard unlikely to play 90 so Salah(c) for me. Which I was considering doing anyway.

I guess Mane (C) Aguero (VC)
Can't risk Hazard being anywhere near the armband if Sarri's thinking about limiting his minutes.

Fancy Dilva to play a full 90 and after a midweek rest should be fresh as a daisy and a big differential in my mini league

Is nobody worried that Aguero won’t play 3 in a week and this is the match of the 3 he’d be benched for?

Re: GW11 Captaincy
Hmm. On Hazard all week and now I've just read Sarri's quote on his fitness and likely minutes. Seems sensible to switch to Sterling or Salah.
However I'm sure I remember Sarri saying something similar before the Newcastle Chelsea game and then Hazard played 90 minutes.
Edit to add a link to the Sarri quote prior to the Newcastle game:

I guess I'd still feel rather silly if I captained Hazard and he played less than 60 minutes having been pre warned. I do suspect he'll play over 60 minutes though.

Good thinking, two big games coming up. Could see Jesus start again although Kun plays ±60m all the time in PL to stay fresh.Jameselaprendi wrote: ↑02 Nov 2018, 19:26 Is nobody worried that Aguero won’t play 3 in a week and this is the match of the 3 he’d be benched for?

Re: GW11 Captaincy
I'm encouraged by the fact that Agüero was given a complete rest against Fulham last night whereas Jesus played the full 90. Also, Jesus played the away game against Shakhtar with Agüero rested, so I'd guess that Jesus will probably start the home game against Shakhtar too.From4corners wrote: ↑02 Nov 2018, 20:33Good thinking, two big games coming up. He was just benched wasn't he? He could be benched again, sure. But the whole premise your question is misleading.Jameselaprendi wrote:Is nobody worried that Aguero won’t play 3 in a week and this is the match of the 3 he’d be benched for?

If I was playing catch up i'd definitely take a punt on Mendy (c). But i'm pretty confident with Aguero (c).

Re: GW11 Captaincy
Mendy TC Aguero VC reasoning, time to have a gamble, Mendy has never had 2 points, his average is better and has the same bonus points as Aguero having played fewer games.

Not sure what you mean. Fulham game was not one of the 3 I was referring too.eastcentral1 wrote: ↑02 Nov 2018, 21:52He was just benched wasn't he? He could be benched again, sure. I agree with pirlos beard that there’s precedent that Aguero won’t play in the CL. Although that was an away fixture thousands of miles away.
Argh I’m so torn.

How can one even be sure that Sterling will start?Pirlo's Beard wrote: ↑02 Nov 2018, 22:05"One should always play fairly when one has the winning cards."

Alonso (c) vs Palace? Alonso is a bit streaky, Palace don't score goals. Madness?

I would always captain Aguero's 60 minutes against Southampton rather than Barkley's 90 minutes against Palace. It's not even a debate.Goooo Rickie wrote: ↑03 Nov 2018, 08:10 Anyone else considering Barkley for captain?
