I can't say I've watched enough of Bournemouth to give an opinion on the better player but Kings on pens so surely him if you're getting any now?

Re: Wilson or King?!?
Went with Wilson on wildcard personally, but don't think you can go far wrong with either of them, given fixtures and Bournemouth's attacking style. Wilson shades it on stats, but King seemingly being on pens is definitely a factor too.
Not sure Fraser comes into the equation either, as he's a great option in his own right regardless. Still kicking myself for trying to be clever and punting on Gray instead, especially as I didn't leave anything in the bank to make a straight switch if needed.

Had King since the start. Generally I'd say they're eeksy-peeksy in open play, but King on pens.

Re: Wilson or King?!?
I started with King. Switched after the first two games (before Wilson went off pens). Now I'm stuck with Wilson.. am I annoyed? Yes...The only consolation is that I put Mitrovic in GW3 (Wilson GW4). When I did a WC I stuck with Wilson.

I honestly said to myself I would stick on King the whole season if he was on pens. But what can we do when Wilson rocks up and takes the pen GW1..frustrating..MoSe wrote: β18 Sep 2018, 14:54Ditto!FootballFanatic wrote: β18 Sep 2018, 14:50 I started with King. Re: Wilson or King?!?
Well he missed it, so King taking the next one was always a reasonable assumption. Granted, it was no more than an assumption though.FootballFanatic wrote: β18 Sep 2018, 14:59 But what can we do when Wilson rocks up and takes the pen GW1..frustrating..

Usually you don't get taken off pens after one miss!Pirlo's Beard wrote: β18 Sep 2018, 15:10Well he missed it, so King taking the next one was always a reasonable assumption. I think usually you do if there happen to be more takers in the team.FootballFanatic wrote:Usually you don't get taken off pens after one miss!Pirlo's Beard wrote: β18 Sep 2018, 15:10Well he missed it, so King taking the next one was always a reasonable assumption. Re: Wilson or King?!?
Yep, and this particular team has King and (sometimes) Stanislas, who have both scored penalties for them in the past.
It's not too uncommon for teams to rotate penalty-takers after a miss. Liverpool did it last season: Firmino had them initially, scored a couple and then missed one, at which point Salah took over, and missed at the first attempt (at home against Huddersfield). Then I think it went to Coutinho, I remember him scoring one in the Champions League. After he left in January they went back to Salah, who scored one or two before the end of the season.
Man Utd also operated a "one strike and you're out" policy under Louis van Gaal, but of course his team never attacked enough to actually win any penalties.

Re: Wilson or King?!?
I wouldn't say so after literally one miss. Perhaps after a few misses. Otherwise there is too much pressure on the number one taker. Any team that uses a miss and switch policy is barking up the wrong tree imo. Long term it's going to benefit more to give each taker a fair runJoccki_10 wrote: β18 Sep 2018, 19:38I think usually you do if there happen to be more takers in the team.FootballFanatic wrote:Usually you don't get taken off pens after one miss!Pirlo's Beard wrote: β18 Sep 2018, 15:10Well he missed it, so King taking the next one was always a reasonable assumption. LOL, I was assessing Dudmundsson Hazard, and to afford it (2 FT) I need to do Bubba-me-yang up to 6.3m FWDMoSe wrote: β18 Sep 2018, 14:54Ditto!FootballFanatic wrote: β18 Sep 2018, 14:50 I started with King. the best option presented is... King!!!
so... what about Wilson AND King? hehe
I know, they'll hardly do BOTH well in the same game, and when cherries have a bad fixture they'll both have it...
the alternatives at that price point are Deeney/Gray, Ings, Jimenez (who's also cheaper) but Bournemouth also have he best few upcoming fixtures compared to them...
I might indeed try them both together for a couple games, and then ship the worst of the two before end October
