Yup! Picked him on the first page of this thread and he also found his way back in my team again now, alongside Aguero and King (having 3.5m in the bank so can change things around easily). Should also start the first few games, albeit might bench him for Leicester's first game against United due to my set-up.ThingsCouldGetMessi wrote: ↑05 Aug 2018, 00:27 Iheanacho scored twice today including a really good header for his first (video of the goals is on the LCFC Facebook page). He finishes pre season with 4 goals in 3 games. His FPL appeal only continues to grow for me. I expect him to start regularly this season and £6m is a potential steal. Put him on your watch list's at least.

Keep an eye on Andre Gray at Watford. Potentially starting in a 4-4-2 with Deeney up front.

I’ll be keeping a close eye on Rondon being a Newcastle fan. I have a feeling he’ll be great for us. Not sure what price he was last season.

Snap, but wouldn't entertain anyone from Newcastle until GW9. Would answer many prayers if he's 6.0. One of the few Albion players I'd have down the Mol.

West Brom doesn't score many but the fact that he gets in touching distance of double figures is a testament to his talent. They'll be plenty of PL suitors around if Newcastle don't opt for a permanent option next year.

He must have got more in the Prem than Mitrovic and have more Pem experience; and Newcastle have had a season in the Prem... No way will he be 6m. If he is then he's straight in my Squad, especially with Spuds up first.

Will he play first game though? Rafa seems like the sort of manager who wants to get a player to understand the team/tactics before playing (no evidence, just a thought).blahblah wrote: ↑07 Aug 2018, 10:24He must have got more in the Prem than Mitrovic and have more Pem experience; and Newcastle have had a season in the Prem... Some big lump told to stay up top and knock the CB's about a bit, get on the end of crosses and be better at 1-on-1's than Jossie? Cnt be that tricky, schurrle?

Wrong topic, but if they’re playing like that more than once, Pereira’s our man.

Re: 2018/19 Budget forwards 4.5-6.0
Bristol City perspective - Bobby Reid
He's small and fast with a good eye for goal, several of his goals last season were 'poacher' type efforts around the box. However (and I think this is key) until he was converted to a striker last season he was an attacking mid who would play either centre mid or on one of the wings. From what I've seen of Cardiff's pre-season I think Colin plans to play him out wide of a central striker or use him as a back-up AMC, which will really harm his ability to hit the back of the net. He's still young and learning and I'd expect him to be pushed out wide too often and not able to do damage in the box.
A recent match report on a site that we cannot name confirms these suspicions:
Reid’s versatility is a negative from a Fantasy perspective given Warnock’s propensity to field him either out wide or in an attacking midfield role; Reid once again dropped back into midfield during the defeat to Betis.
If you look at his Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Rei ... born_1993) you can see why we were surprised he was being played through the middle last season - career stats (or indeed our eyes) didn't suggest he'd be a good striker. He has never got more than a couple of goals in any season before this one. Probably that is why the manager is in charge, not me? However he's a pass for me this season - don't see him scoring more than 3-4, unless played as a central striker. He's a good young player with a bright future in the game, but at 5.5M he's priced as a striker, not as a wide forward and possibly a negatively OOP player for parts of this season.
Can I offer a perspective on this one? Bobby Reid played for us but has been tempted by Colin

Ings to Saints now means 5.5m slot viable as includes Reid Jimenez as well

I’m considering Wilson instead of King - why is no one talking about him? Similar stats, sounds nailed to lead the line and £.5 cheaper.

Re: 2018/19 Budget forwards 4.5-6.0
Danny Ings at 5.5 to Southampton sounds very tempting, he'd be by far their best striker, but would he start? I think he's absolutely top drawer, he broke tons of preseason records last year before his terrible injury.
