I don't get what's great about Richarlison? Everton looked awful pre-season

He's a bit dribble and score on the break?

Yep, right now I have Eriksen/Hughes and I'm considering just play 4 3 3 with a MF of Salah Mane Eriksen, premium defence of Mendy, VVD/Robbo and Bailey + 5.0 (Probably Tarkowski) and Aguero, Zaha and King/Arnie up top.

Newcastle are having issues then they have Fulham at home, seems an OK shout for Eriksen. None of the mid priced midfielders are screaming out to me to be picked so I think I'll roll with 3 premium mids until a good clear option emerges, can't be arsed with guessing games atm.

I like dribble but I think Toffees will be too busy scooping the ball out of the net to allow him to dribble

Bliley. How many are you expecting them to shift?

Which side does this Bernard(o) play?

Part of it is that Silva managed him before with some success and at under 7m is worth a punt to start as he did 12 months ago.

One maybe 2 CB's to arrive by Thursday?

Having watched him last season I think Maddison is definitely one to watch. One of the best players I've ever seen in a Norwich shirt.

He could be back there next season in blue tbough, which is my issue.

Is he the set piece and assist king?

He's likely to be on a lot of corners and free kicks, and is potentially on pens behind Vardy.

He topped the chances created charts and won us 26 points last season.

My only reservation is the tricky GW1 fixture but he's firmly on the watch list.

Thanks: he must be the bod that someone here strongly recommended, but I confused with the new Hudd bod Diakathng.

Have you seen MU in preseason? The problem is more Leicester looking a bit shite this season?

They may have only been the only Club from 8th down not to have been in the bottom 3 last season? I'm sure Everton were, maybe not Newcastle? But the rest must have been.

On the one hand 47 points is OK. But, CP got to 44, and they had been relegated by most? They 56 goals they scored certainly kept them out of the mire and no Mahrez.....

I do think Leicester may struggle as a team but Maddison will provide plenty of creativity and if he does get the majority of set pieces then he could be dangerous. He's very composed on the ball too.

If anything I'm just intrigued to see how he adapts to the premier league as he's definitely the type of player England sorely missed at the WC.

I think Jota edges the battle for the £6.5m price point as I can see Wolves finishing top 10 having recruited strongly once again. But I wouldn't be surprised to see Maddison perform well.

I am serious. And don’t call me Schürrle

Post by sponduly »

Schürrle he should be in everyone’s team?

Any reason he’s only 6.6% owned, or is it because he’s purely a nostalgia pick?

I rate him but I'm not sure he'll outscore Cairney over the season, let alone justify investing a further 1M in him

Now Traore is at Wolves, will that mean Jota's place is less secure?

Nope, but Costa and Jimenez's places surely are. Jota generally thought to be the one mainstay whatever happens.

Final decision to make for me: Richarlison v Jota? I prefer Jota but Everton have a nice run of fixtures to start with. What do people think?

Would you mind elaborating? I'm erring on the side of Jota because a) Wolves score truck loads of goals (albeit they aren't Prem proven) b) they have had a better pre-season than Everton and c) Jota scored 17 goals last year, albeit in the Championship.

The fact that Wolves are at home v Everton in week one is also appealing.

I’ve just got a gut feeling he’ll do really well FPL wise. Expect both to be around similar total points at the end of the season.

An interesting tactical profile of Wolves. Suggests at one point that Jota may play a bit wider this season as Otto is a right footed left wing back.
