Will Salah Break The FPL Points Record & Get 300 Pts?
6 games to go, he's currently on 273, 23 away from beating the record by Suarez (295) and 27 away from 300.

Hopefully not. Realistically the answer must be yes though.

debating on bringing him back in for final game, pretty sure he'll play, L'pool can't afford to lose that one.

Brought him back in for the final game and captaining, so I hope he exceeds it by as many as possible!

Being a pedant, it is one question - "will he do 2 things?". As doing the second means he has done the first then it is pointless to even ask that part.

Not a pedant: bookies would even take bets on it as 2 events.....
Is he expected to start?

Well if we're being pedantic, he needs 4 points to break Suarez's record not 3 (as that only matches it).

Lol, I only wanted to point out that tarkens had correctly replied* to one of the two.
*No, wait, he didn't reply, he reminded the correct points missing

As I had chatted with PB IIRC in TRK, Liverpool conceding or not could prove crucial for either goal.
Could be the difference between 2 or 3p, in case he blanks, and thus between 294 or 295.
Or between 7 or 8p, in case he scores without bonus, thus between 299 or 300.

Incredible. I don't know what else to say. He has taken the league by storm and we are all sat here in awe at what he has achieved.

The stats are dark and full of errors.
Re: Will Salah Break The FPL Points Record & Get 300 Pts?
303 points from 32 goals, 12 assists, 15 CS points and 26 bonus. 2905 minutes played underlying the whole thing, quite a remarkable season.
I think he probably needed the classification as a midfielder to score like that, with the extra 47 points from goals and clean sheets more than compensating for the loss of BPs.

Never seen Mav so forthcoming across the boards. I think he's demob-happy.

He’s classified wrongly though and it’s given him a huge boost on his points. He should be classified as a forward, so should many other “midfielders” on fpl. I find it very worrying that the people that run fpl don’t understand the difference between midfield and forward. They seem to think only a centre forward is a forward.

To be fair, it’s sometimes not straight forward.
Just because he scored a lot of goals doesn’t mean he’s a forward. Would you class Sanchez, Willian, Hazard, Tadic, Mane or Lennon as forwards for example?
I’m pretty certain that everybody expected him to be a wide midfield player... no one foresaw what ensued.
Would it make it more or less interesting if a load of midfielders were re-classified as forwards? Might mean more variety up front, but midfield would boil down to Alli, Eriksen and Mahrez.

No doubt he will be reclassified next year, like Firmino was this season. Would anyone buy him as a £15m forward? :O

They need to be careful about reclassifying too many forwards or else there is too much choice and not enough midfield choices
If salah is a forward so then are Mane and Sanchez . Was hard enough picking only 3 forwards this season

Reclassifying him as a FWD would up his bonus potential.

He won't be here anymore next season.....wonkypenguin wrote: ↑14 May 2018, 12:49 No doubt he will be reclassified next year, like Firmino was this season. Would anyone buy him as a £15m forward? :O
And if he'll be here in EPL I will get him and he won't score that many points anymore

I'm curious as to at what point people bought Salah.
I bloodymindedly kept him out of my team as I thought the streak couldn't continue, sticking with Coutinho until he was sold, and even then waiting until gw28 bring him in, but by then the damage was well and truly done!
I only played him in 6(!) gameweeks and got 63 of his 303 points, captained up to 117.
I made the same mistake ignoring Vardy a couple of years ago too...
