there was no sign of Kane at Tottenham training on Monday.

That's the only site I could find that is reporting this.

I still think he starts. Will no doubt get subbed earlier than usual for him, but as long as he's in the starting XI I'm content.

I don't anticipate Kane starting tonight after going through the "illness" experience with Rooney recently. If anything I'd suspect an appearance off the bench if he's feeling OK but hasn't trained. It wouldn't even surprise me if he missed tonight and came off the bench against West Ham.

I really can't imagine why he wouldn't start against West Ham. If he is that far from match fitness then surely he wouldn't have travelled today only to sit in a cold weather?

2 questions:

1)I have Son as a (VC) and Kane as (C), lets say Son scored twice and i got his VC points, and Kane came in the last 5 minutes or so, what happens to Son's points?

2)If Kane never plays tonight, i'll have his back-up Son as a (VC)..
but what happens if Son doesnt play against west tham and Kane did? he was my original captain after all, so i'll still get his (C) points, right?

1) The extra points for VC don't get added until the end of the GW. So Son's score on your team would look as normal (as in not captained). If Kane comes on in the last 5 minutes you'd get 2 points as Kane would register as your captain

2) Kane is your captain, so the only way you'd get Son's points to count as double is if Kane plays ZERO minutes this GW If he even comes on for 30 seconds, Kane's points become your captain points.
