Ooh Harry's in the mix? Is that based around seeing United's shambolic defence the other night?

I think United's defence has been shambolic almost every time I have seen them play this season, their results don't show the full picture and they have been very lucky not to concede more this season (although De Gea is a great goalkeeper). I expect goals in that game, more than Burnley - Aguero, and Kane is in form. Then again, it was 0-0 at WHL..

I guesstimated Kane could well score one, but probably NOT a brace

Conversely, City leads a trio having a better scoring avg on the road than on home ground (followed by Chelsea, and ...Palace! :o )
While Burnley are 2nd in goals conceded and 4th @home (always avg-wise)

so I "figured" City are likely to score more than Spurs this GW, and Kun chances to get a haul a bit greater than Kane

thus so far I have Kun (C) Kane (VC), switching f4c "ticket" (albeit I was tempted to gamble on Silva instead of Kun)

I agree they have been poor all season. But they just don't seem to concede many, much to my annoyance. I think it'd be brave to back Kane, despite his incredible form.

It's unlikely that Spurs will score more than twice at OT. With City, although it's obviously no guarantee, I don't think many would be too surprised if they netted 4-5 against Burnley.

for a player who is listed as a defender, he can be a good differential due to its relatively high position, but I think only in the short term because the risk of too frequent rotation.

  • [stats cut]

not wanting to go with my simplistic stats (I honestly admit it :) SG & Stem & others) based just on team goals H/A avg (and NOT on underlying stats),
I checked williamhill.it (alas in my country I can't find individual players anytime scoring odds) and here's the summary
GW29 scoring odds.png
so WH.it chances for City (or Gunners) to score 3 is even greater than Spurs to score just 2...

yes, I didn't understand what lost you, as I thought I had got it instead

you're lost at how it's possibile considering Schlupp as an option in the first place,
or was something obscure to you in the language/logic they used,
or did you just disagree with something?

I do think it's a bit crazy too, but didn't find anything obscure in the post

You reminded me, here are some from PaddyPower:

Agüero 8/13
Giroud 4/5
Costa 5/6
Sánchez 10/11
Rooney 6/5
Silva 13/10
Sturridge 13/10
Sterling 17/10
Kane 17/10
Hazard 15/8
Austin 15/8
Özil 2/1
Cazorla 12/5
Schlupp 3/1

great,
of course these don't factor in the 4p CS Schlupp could get hosting Hull... albeit with the advent of N'Doye, Tigers sterility is not as clearcut anymore
3/1 is not a bad attacking potential for a "defender" either

I'm having a shocker of a season, lost interest a bit this time, but that Schlupp captain option stood out. Maybe I should consider it myself.

I need to make up ground on the leader of my mini-league so I'm going to go with either Sanchez or Hazard.

I'm leaning more towards Sanchez just because Southampton still have something to play for and they are more defensively sound than West Ham.

Haha that is definitely gonna come into my head every time I say his name now! In a similar way to my inability to say 'Danny Dyer' in a non-cockney accent.

Would the news that James Tomkins is out for the season, leaving West Ham to play Koyate and Collins at CB this week change your mind from an Aguero captain to a Sanchez one? Koyate was terrible at CB when West Ham lost 4-0 to West Brom in the cup. Valencia also out for West Ham. I can see the irons getting their first big thrashing in the league this season tbh.

good call
luckily I didn't follow my own advices few GW ago!
Hammers seemed to have regrouped their main backline, and there, last match Reid out injured after 7', now this, and Jenkinson can't play vs parent club Arsenal

FFS predicted Lineup: Demel - Collins - Kouyaté - Cresswell :o
and Collins wasn't even a regular starter

anyway, I tried to make a disciplined use of the forums, and made my first entry here post2681252.html#p2681252" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Yes indeed, esp if you are chasing. If you are well placed, then Aguero is a safer pick due to high ownership and this poll result.

Really want to take a bit of a gamble on Hazard. He could have easily scored 20pts against West Ham and is generally in top form. Will almost certainly bottle it and go with Aguero though.

I'm tempted too. Chelsea will probably want to prove a point after their showing midweek, especially at home.

Kouyate has been nothing but impressive at CB, but moving him down means a lot of steel and drive is lost from the midfield. There's noone to replace him.

Is there a legit shout for Giroud? He has 4 goals and 2 assists in 4 appearances against the Hammers over the past 3 seasons.

12/13
Away: 3-1 win, 1G1A
Home: 5-1 win, 2G

13/14
Away: 3-1 win, 1G
Home: 3-1 win, 1A

14/15
Away: Suspended (red card against QPR I believe)

(Incidentally, he also has 6 goals and 1 assist in 5 games against Newcastle, who are Arsenal's next opponents.)
