is this a good idea? I currently still own Naismith and was planning on keeping for the next week or 2. But I've read somewhere that Barkley's return to fitness could put naismiths game time in doubt? anyone has anymore info abt this by any chance?

I've got a feeling they may mean the other way round (Naismith  Sakho) ?

Nope, I did mean Sakho to Naismith. However, the Barkley news will need investigating. I imagine Barkley will be eased back into play and would play central (attacking) or left midfield, though not up top. I suppose Lukaka could go back up top centrally with a shift around in midfield. I was thinking McGeady would make way, put cannot fathom how Everton would then line up.

I really want Baines without downgrading any midfield or strikers.
I have 2 FT to use, what do you think of;
Ivanovic  Azpilicueta
Dier  Baines ??

Do we all think Az will hold his place ?

I won't waste such a transfer like that. But why not. It's still a good transfer. I'm thinking to get Az soon.

Kosc is injured, possibly a while but not confirmed.

Chambers may be cheap but arsenal's CS may not be to frequent.

Had 1.8m in the bank.

Ulloa > Sakho
Rose > Baines

0.0m in the bank.

Planning on rolling it over this week, and having two freebies next week. One of which will most likely be Manquilo to either Chambers or Kaboul. Nothing immediately pressing this GW, I don't think.

Is Cahill  Baines a good idea? I feel a bit uneasy about it.

With Chelsea looking good at the back once again i'd be very reluctant to lose one of their defs but, with Coleman doubtful once again and thus the likelihood of the majority of Everton's attacks going down the left through Baines, it could really work out for this week. I think Coleman's return will have a negative effect though but you could always reverse it or go to Azpilicueta.

Depends what the price difference could do for you elsewhere really.

It's not a move I would be making, but each persons circumstance will be different.

Need some advice if possible:

Team is:
Begovic Krul
Taylor Clyne Moreno Duff Moore
ADM Fabregas Siggy Sterling Scheiderlein
Ulloa Falcao Costa

2 FTs this week and £0.9m ITB.
Players on my radar are Forster, Baines, Ivanovic/Azpi, Chambers, 4.4m MID for Schneiderlein and Welbeck/Pelle.

Looking to get rid of Begovic, Moreno, Duff, Schneiderlein and Ulloa.

What should I do? What transfers should I prioritise? I want to do all of these transfers now but no wildcard

Haven't taken any points hits yet this season, are they really worth it? Its not like I am struggling with injuries.

Thanks in advance.

Did Silva  Chadli a few nights ago. On paper, a pretty strange move the week Spurs go to City, but I was forced into it this week to remain within budget for parts 2 and 3 of my plan: Bertrand  Baines and Sterling  Fàbregas.

Playing the long game. 8-)

Moreno -> Azpi
But if you want to do a plan to upgrade Ulloa into a expensive striker then get rid just one of Schneiderlein or Moreno for cheaper one. It's good thing to just spend 1 FT.
It's up to you now.

Bit of transfer help please guys, current squad with £1m in bank -

Bertrand, Hutton, Lovern, Cahill, Baird
Di Maria, Hazard, Marney, Sterling, Siggy
Costa, Ulloa, Balotelli

Haven't heard liverpool press conference yet regarding lovern's injury and sturridge's fitness. Also with costa a doubt (although i reckon he'll play) i could be short.

If lovern is fit

balotelli  wellbeck/pele the obvious transfer ?

If lovern is ruled out

Balotelli + lovern  Aguero + Moore (lei)
Balotelli + Lovern  Sturridge + Van Aanholt/ Taylor (swa)

Is either worth a four point hit ?

any tips and advice appreciated

I wouldn't take a points hit there. Balotelli could well score against QPR, the only thing certain is that 4 points will be deducted from your team.

--

I'm in a weird situation. I told myself to wait all through the international break to make transfers, only now it's over I have no idea what to do. I don't mean I can't make my mind up between all the different ideas - I just don't have any ideas! 2 free transfers, I do want Baines but I'm really indecisive about the midfield options. I have a template midfield that has served me well, but I really have no idea which midfielders are better than the others! If I had confidence others do in, say, Chadli then I'd swap Fabregas out for him and move Chambers or Clyne to Baines. I think I'm defaulting to not tinkering with a winning formula though - I have my doubts if Di Maria or Fabregas will keep up being such top picks but I can't see any obvious better options, so why mess with a winning formula?

I must confess my current high rank of 2.5k feels like it's a lot to do with luck. I seem to finish well (top 10k) but start badly, and work it out from there. This feels like I've yet to figure out who will work, and who won't, just as usual but with the difference that I don't have a 200k+ rank through sheer chance.

I've never, ever failed to use up a transfer when I've had 2 free though. Seems like a waste. I don't want to succumb to paralysis. I think my front line (Welbeck, Costa, Aguero) can't be improved upon, and there's no one out of Sterling, Fab and Di Maria I feel happy trading down for. Maybe if I'm indecisive about Fab vs Chadli, I should just pick the cheaper option because I am sure that Baines is a good pick. But then, I'm quite keen on getting Ramsey when he's back and that would probably be unaffordable with Baines in.

I've basically started typing out my thoughts out as they come to me, abandoning whatever point I orginally had :D I'm just trying to figure out if I'm really going to let a non-rolling-over transfer go by unused for the first time!

Ulloa -> Sakho is something I am quite keen on. May hold off until after the Newcastle game

Would Costa  Pellè be a silly thing to do?

Despite all the mind games in the past and Costa playing when Mourinho's said he's doubtful, I can't see him being risked against Crystal Palace even if there's the slightlest of doubt (No offence to Palace fans). Costa played in both of Spains games during the week bar 8 minutes. Remy getting some game time seems likely with Drogba also being out.

Pellè fixtures: Sunderland (h), Stoke (h), Hull (a), Leicester (h)
Costa fixtures: Palace (a), United (a), QPR (h), Liverpool (a)

Despite fixtures looking favourable for Southampton, Costa may not play against Palace or QPR since they have a CL game against Maribor in the same week. I'm possibly just being stupid here and reading into things but Pellè's form and the money i'll save could be a massive boost overall.

Baines has 2 goals and an assist in his last 4 home games vs Villa, according to my app.
