Anyone transferring Suarez out for GW36 and GW37?
It seems someone in my mini league has done this and has perhaps gone for Podolski. (My guess from the huge amount of cash which has appeared in his bank). The thought of this appeals as Podolski could outscore Suarez by more than 8 pts (for the points hits) in the next two games. It's risky but could be a stroke of genius. Thoughts?

There used to be a Crazy Genius thread but it never took off, which I always thought was a pity. There has to be room for crazy genius in fantasy football.

Only -30 NTI for Suarez today. One needs to be as mad as a pot of frogs to try this.

I'm on my WC and doing this. Only because I need a huge risky differential to catch ML leader. Huge risk but if it works...

Re: Anyone transferring Suarez out for GW36 and GW37?
I was gonna put up a similar thread. It could be a worthwhile strategy for those chasing ML leaders with nothing to lose. I'm thinking of selling him for rvp if he is back for GW37 and then possibly bringing him back for final game as I think not having him against Newcastle could be a gamble too far but it's possible he may struggle in his next 2 games. I doubt many people will be making him captain for GW37 so there would appear to be not a lot to lose.

I've considered it, but I'm just not sure enough of those I'd transfer in. Rooney's the only possibility, but Dzeko's the more tempting target for removal.

It's my plan to take out Suárez for either Rooney or RvP for GW37 and then transfer the Uruguayan back in for GW38.

No way I would transfer him out. I'll be keeping him even for GW39.

I'll probably switch him for Aguero in GW37 (me being one of only half a dozen people in the country who doesn't have Aguero yet). Sadly that's the only way I can afford to get the City slicker in my team.

Re: Anyone transferring Suarez out for GW36 and GW37?
PROS:
- Suarez has two potentially tough fixtures
- Suarez hasn't been on explosive form
- Other players have better fixtures and form
CONS:
- Chelsea without Cech and Terry and weakened team = goals
- Crystal Palace will be safe by GW37 and might not put in a shift, making for an easier game for Liverpool

I was thinking of doing this for GW37 and get one of the ManU strikers in.
Might be to scared to do it in the end.

Transfer out the best striker in the league who is fixture proof ? Nah, transfer someone else instead and pick a different captain for next two Gameweeks. I certainly want him for last game goalfest against Newcastle.

Re: Anyone transferring Suarez out for GW36 and GW37?
I think the key factor is the fact that most people are not likely to captain Suarez for GW37 with City and Utd having a double week. Therefore the points loss is less in the event that Suarez does score well so the risk is less. Going into a normal gameweek without Suarez at all when he will be captained by most however would be highly risky.

Re: Anyone transferring Suarez out for GW36 and GW37?
I am thinking of transferring Suarez out for Rooney this week (then possibly back for GW38), however, it looks as if RVP has returned to training today, although not available for Norwich. I am therefore wondering if:
a) RVP being back makes Rooney less appealing in GW 37?
b) RVP is a better bet for GW37.
If so is it better to wait and see if RVP in for Suarez in GW37 instead of for Rooney this week?
According to "goal" he may be used sparingly for the run in but if he is back to training, surely likely to get decent minutes in DGW37?

I'm not sure that 'goal' is too reliable.

Re: Anyone transferring Suarez out for GW36 and GW37?
I see the Podolski factor but I'm suprised how many ppl are talking about changing to Rooney &/or Aguero.
I'd have thought most forward lines would already read Suarez, Rooney, Aguero.
Injuries aside this is it for my run in, as i'm protecting leads in all my leagues I need to go with the obvious.

Not really differentials are they? Unless you are leading a mini league then what's the point? I've kept Dzeko for that reason

Re: Anyone transferring Suarez out for GW36 and GW37?
But quite a few ppl are talking about doing this now?
With Rooney and Aguero the differential would have been to get them in early at the right time. It would have been a little more interesting if the doubler would have been last week/this week with the Aguero/Silva/Toure....Moyes situation.
If i was playing catch up I'd get Hazard in for next week (H to Norwich) captain him and hope.

Re: Anyone transferring Suarez out for GW36 and GW37?
There is no logic to taking our the most deadliest player in the game who has two games with it all on the line.
I could see the thinking of you had money tied up in Rooney or perhaps Lukaku but Liverpool players definitely shouldn't be removed especially in their current form of wwwwww......
