Going away tomorrow morning so I wanted to get my transfers done tonight.

Lukaku  Rooney
Silva  Mata
Collins  Smalling

For -8. I would have only had 9 players without any transfers so not quite the risk of a normal points hit.

Isn't this illegal in Premiership, not playing your strongest team?

I don't think so, though it's not the done thing. Someone could do the same to impact your title run next year (Jose).

Portsmouth did it in 2008 at home to Fulham before the FA Cup final. There wasn't any fuss about that.

Premier League rule E.20 states: "In every league match each participating club shall field a full-strength team."

Blackpool was fined three years ago because of this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/footbal ... 378679.stm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Think you'll find you are mistaken here. 8 of the starting players were the same in the cup final (and Defoe was cup tied), so only James and Campbell rested. Sour grapes because Reading got relegated?

Rules have changed slightly in their interpretation, in that players from the full 25-man squad, eg Hilario etc, are regarded as full-strength, plus they can always add in a couple of u21's on the basis of encouraging younger players.

Besides which how much would Chelsea care about a tiny fine compared to CL prize money?

Probably been said before but what is Baldrick doing on the scoutcasts and why is he using the pseudonym 'Mark'?

Yes, obviously.

So they rested players then. Point proven.

I've seen this too - I think the rule got tested after a couple of big fines and was found to be unenforceable or possibly counter to EU/UEFA regulations.

Ok maybe you were not mistaken. You were just proving a point that a team rested 2 players 6 years ago. Great post if you knew it was 2 players and wrote the original post. Wonder if any other team has rested 2 older players with a big game coming up in the last 6 years....I wonder  :?:

Best price online with Stan James is 7/4 and working within the industry, this price is likely to shorten.
My tip on this option: NO BET. Terrible value.

Lallana  Ramsey
Lukaku  Rooney

Two uninjured, nailed on players transferred out for a 4pt hit. I've caught this transfer fever that is doing the rounds!

Silva  Ramsey

Now, the question is, will Rooney score 4 pts more than Lukaku.

Will Rooney score 4 more than Sturridge?
I don't think Danny will start but will be explosive off the bench.

Norwich will scrap until the end so not overly thrilled with this hit.

Maybe maybe not, but you will want Rooney for next week anyway, a transfer now is a saved transfer then.

Distin  Koscielny

I'm keeping Lukaku for now, he can easily put two in any given week, and he usually performs better against the stronger teams.
