Yes all rounds are over 2 legs and as before any tied games will be won by the team highest in our mimi league after the second leg.

The only exception to this may be the final. If there is a draw after 2 legs I may go for a one week replay.

Quater Final Results

Donegal Blues 58 Vs PiToT TiTs 89.5

The TJ's 92.5 Vs Pengy's Pirates 70

atx1303 80 Vs Jesternothergame 104.5

DEPORTIVO LA CORTINA 89.5 Vs Sultan of Barnet FC 51.5

Looks like I will be getting an early bath from this knockout mini comp. I'm already almost 40 points behind DEPORTIVO LA CORTINA. I bet atx 1303 is just as stuned, with Jesternothergame posting 104.5. I bet he thought with a score of 80 he was pretty safe.

Not as stunned as me....!!!!

I really struggle in this game, so there was a large slice of luck involved in that score, have no doubt...

It's not a done deal yet! :?

Second leg against DEPORTIVO LA CORTINA and I started a good 30 points behind. Now with just the the Arsenal Blackburn game to go I am just 3.5 points behind. DLC has Sanga and Warnock to play so if goals are scored they may well cancel out each others score, a nil nil draw would suit DLC better.
I on the other hand still have Fabregas and Clichy to play so I am praying for an Arsenal win to give me the extra points I need.

DLC didn't help himself by having Torres (injured) Elano (suspended) and Drogba who may not be back from ACN yet?

How you guys doing?

Well the quater finals are over and we now know who is going through and who isn't.

The semi final games of the FISO Yahoo Cup are

PiToT TiTs Vs The TJ's

Jesternothergame Vs DEPORTIVO LA CORTINA

As for the losers, I think a spirited come back from a bad first week was made by atx1303 and myself. Both of us ended up just 7 points short of our target.

Good luck to those teams still in the game.

More details in the web site.

Semi Final FISO Yahoo Cup

PiToT TiTs 98.5 Vs The TJ's 86.5

Jesternothergame 145.5 Vs DEPORTIVO LA CORTINA 80.5

Seems DEPORTIVO LA CORTINA has the hardest challenge in the second leg. As Jesternothergame recorded the highest score this week.

May not bother to update website as with just 4 teams left easier to post it here.

No disrespect to DlaC but for him to win I think you would have to sell all your players and buy the whole Derby squad. Even then, I think it would be a tight call, you never know derby may win 3-0 next week as well

Yahoo FISO Cup Final

The two semi finals were both one sided affairs and could make for an interesting final if both winning teams keep up that sort of scoring over the next two weeks.

Semi Final Results

PiToT TiTs 253 v The TJ's 170.5

Jesternothergame 232.5 v DEPORTIVO LA CORTINA 163.5

so the final will be between

PiToT TiTs v Jesternothergame

May the best team win.

He probably will.... :?

Thanks for running this blueprint, it's added some much needed interest (for me anyway) in a game that I'd rather neglected. :D

Good luck in the final to my opponent! (Don't even know who it is.... )

Jesternothergame get the highest score of the week thus putting himself in the driving seat of the final.

We have a winner.

Jesternothergame looked to be having an easy ride but PiToT TiTs put in a stunning performance in the second leg and it ended up closer than I thought it would be.

PiToT TiTs 268 Vs Jesternothergame 281.5

Congrats to Jesternothergame the FISO Yahoo Cup winner 2007/2008

Managed to hang on then!! Closer than it should have been due to overconfidence after the first leg I think... :?

Not many I grant you, but those of us that are, are having fun

I did the side comp to try and generate some interest, but a knockout comp by it's very nature means those knocked out early lose interest just as quick. What it really needs is 5 aside FPL type side game or a Champions League game like the one I already run within Yahoo. In that Athletico Pathetico has got to the semi finals of the UEFA Cup section. Only the last 10 games or so of the league are knock out sections. The first part of the season is the group stages and seeding stages. So pretty much season long interest.

If we are honest the yahoo game is to complex and interactive for most players on here and the best model to find the best players. :D
