Self funded Jackpot League
Can this run for the last 10 game weeks of the season and see how popular it proves? Don't need to chuck any money in Stakesy - just charge £2 a team plus your 50p and stick a quid in for the weekly prize and a quid towards the JL league.
Say you get 500 teams each week that means there would be 2.5k at the end of the season. Pay out 1k winner, 700 second, 500 third, 200 fourth, 100 fifth. Top 5 scores count but no more than one a week.
Anyone else up for this?

Re: Self funded Jackpot League
I'd be up for this, one team a week and the best average over the ten weeks wins? that right?

I'd be interested and it should happen, if only for the reason that it still states on the website that £1000's of pounds are to be won on the Jackpot League.

Re: Self funded Jackpot League
Hi guys,
Yes, this is definitely something we'd like to do - a very good FISO idea originally raised just before Christmas. There are some technical aspects to develop though as this is an advance on the JL of last year. Not an instant introduction I'm afraid.
If we can do a mini-version this season we will and then have a long-term, big prize version next season.

Re: Self funded Jackpot League
Have to say Stakesy, that with a measly 16p left in my account after a very unsuccessful run, I will only consider playing every week again if there is some kind of Jackpot league to go for in the hope it will change my luck.

Would be a good bit of banter to have on FISO too, seeing how we get on each week with our one team

Re: Self funded Jackpot League
Despite finishing 7th out of 102 in the lucky dip league (with N'Gog as my solitary striker ) I only got £2.55 back.
The whole reason I suggested the self funded JL is because I think a lot of people who play FS regularly want a crack at winning big cash and the JL league is the only way of earning a really nice prize.

I don't think it will be a huge prize pot, bennyc.

Re: Self funded Jackpot League
It will be what we make it. I put forward projected figures in my first post and think over a 10 week period that's a reasonable return considering there would also be weekly prizes.Jonathan wrote:I don't think it will be a huge prize pot, bennyc.

Re: Self funded Jackpot League
To be fair to Stakesy I think he does a great job. The way the game works is tremendous and testament to his skills at creating a real time game.
I'm frustrated for him that more people aren't playing this game so god knows how frustrated Stakesy is
I still believe that FS will turn out to be a huge success.

Re: Self funded Jackpot League
The original JL worked on an average of your top 10 scores throughout the season.
If you are suggesting this runs for final 10 weeks on this season, will your "score" be an average of all 10 best scores with ONLY 1 to count from each week?

I would say top 5 as you'd be gutted if one week you had an emergency and couldn't enter for whatever reason.
