I am yet to be convinced about using my time on this game after reading all the T&Cs and with an address in them that states:
a formal complaint may be made by writing to the Games Manager, Marketing Implementation Company Ltd, PO Box xxx xxxx

Maybe it will become clearer later
Morning all, I spoke with the Mirror lot yesterday and they eased all my concerns re. the game: (1) £100k prize pot is guaranteed, (2) GFM are running/hosting the game just operating under a different name and (3) And for those issues surronding Betway, they are a legit betting company who are well respected in Europe, (I already knew this because I asked my friend who works in the betting industry :D ) they are just newish to the UK market which is why some people havent heard of them...yet! http://www.bestbettingsystem.net/review ... portsbook/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

Overall I think the game looks great, is simple to play plus i like the additon of the Euro striker gives the game something different compared to others. I cant grumble at the £5.5k up for grabs every month either and 4 new teams for every £10 bet is music to my ears too, basically getting paid to pay fantasy football - if i win my bets ;).

Anyone fancy getting in a mini league together?
Hi, you've made a total of 2 posts on FISO, the other one on 11th Jan saying how good another Mirror game was (footballstreak). Do you work for The Mirror?, are you involved in promoting the game? or am I completely wrong?
An old uni mate of mine works there so I asked him what the deal was with this years game
So the answer to the 3 questions I asked are??????

Fair point. For £10 only the customer can have a few punts and extra teams. Not forced to deposit afterwards.

Your choice/opinion. Smacks of arrogance (in my opinion)

Your choice.

Methane; I agree with all your points bar the first one where you still haven't addressed the main point of our discussion. You still seem to be missing it. For example, I've no view on the Betway interface, I've made no comparison with anything etc. etc. I simply said that the ambiguity surrounding the welcome bonus was unsatisfactory.

Bookies never create problems for those who lose in the long run, or for lucky one off big winners. But I can assure you that some revert to being hard nosed sh*ts with winning accounts. For example Bet365 widely advertise that winning bets on Channel4 races over a certain SP would get a free bet on the following race. They took that concession away from my account, no problem except, that until I made a fuss, it was done retrospectively. To quote, it was "a trading decision".

So please just answer the question that I posed.

Striker i'm quite naive regarding betting account bonuses in fact i very rarely gamble through bookmakers. I will try a few pounds on poker occasionally and of course a few pounds playing fantasy football.

I am certainly not in a position to be able to discuss bonuses, how they work or what benefits/disadvantages some may or may not have.

It's the fantasy football game i'm interested in because it's new and different, quite refreshing too. When you said the whole thing was unsatisfactory, i was merely saying what my experience of it was so far. 8-)

Maybe there's some crossed wires here, we're probably seeing the 'whole thing' in different ways.

Forward planning, new initiatives, 100% ok with that

Thanks for that information, i hadn't heard of them personally but from my experience of betting so far using their interface is a good one. In-play they even notify the user when a corner has been awarded, a goal etc.

This game is utterly baffling me right now.

I have had Andy Luckhurst tell me that you cannot gain extra credits if you are an existing betway customer. Not only that, but if you try and play the Mirror game in conjunction with betway, existing members will be banned from using either.
This is just a joke and I am furious that my loyalty to the betway brand is costing me a chance to get more credits!

So I can also make the assumption that those playing this year will be banned from playing next year, under this present logic :?:

Are there any more out there having the same problems?

Here's a c and p of andy's correspondence, as posted on the mirror fb page -

Andy Luckhurst sadly this hasnt gone well i joined up as a new customer, the helpdesk knew nothing about the comp at all, because i opened the account via their website rather than the mirrors i'm now treated as an existing customer rather than a new one and therefore not allowed to play the game. have found betway unhelpful and clueless which is a great shame, no doubt the mirror guys did their research carefully but this is a bit disconcerting can the mirror explain it at all? http://www.sportsbookreview.com/sbr-new ... romo-5380/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; this has been very very disconcerting can someone from the mirror please comment on this before i pass on comments to this website

Andy Luckhurst Hi there Andrew.

Account: xxxxxxxx,

Thank you for contacting Betway.

We understand that you are trying to have your existing Betway account xxxxxx linked to your new Betway Mirror account xxxxx which you opened to take part in the Fantasy Football League hosted by The Daily Mirror.

Kindly be advised that upon launching this league it was created for new players only and this is why you are currently unable to link the 2 accounts. We are currently working on a system to allow existing players to take part in this fantastic league. Unfortunately this has not yet been finalised.

We have made a note of your account and your concerns and will be in contact as soon as we have a resolution for this matter.

If you have any queries regarding the Fantasy Football League and how it works please don’t hesitate to contact The Daily Mirror with your queries. You can contact them via this link:

https://fantasyfootball.mirror.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
We look forward to seeing you play hassle free.

Should you require further assistance, feel free to contact our helpful support desk, which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Kind Regards,

xxxxxxxxxxxx

Andy Luckhurst more nonsense just received 'Hi there Andrew,

Account Number: xxxxxxx

Thank you for contacting Betway.

We can understand the confusion and frustration you are currently experiencing. We are unfortunately not promoting the fantasy league at this time, we are the sponsor site for this great fantasy league but The Daily Mirror are the hosts who are promoting the league. On the webite:

https://fantasyfootball.mirror.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Under the FAQ section, you will find the steps and procedures needed to register the new account and the Terms and Conditions regarding this new account. We can see that you have registered 2 accounts. Unfortunately as the Daily Mirror did provide you with an account number, we cannot be held liable for any bets made to account xxxxx or transfer funds from the account xxxxxx to your account xxxxx , as the xxxxx is a Betway Sportsbook account and the account xxxxxx is a Fantasy Football account. You are more than welcome to contact The Daily Mirror in reagrds to any further information regarding to the conditions of the Fantasy League.

We thank you for your continued understanding and good luck in your future gaming with us.

Should you require any further assistance feel free to contact our friendly help desk. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your convenience.

Kind regards,

Andy Luckhurst i would hasten to add that i was never given an account number for either account, these guys seem inept to the point of near perfection lol. i received absolutely no e-mail on registering and have no account number whatsoever. i am just relieved i linked a bank account with virtually no money in to this!

Andy Luckhurst my response hi xxxxx

thanks for that, so on opening an account with you today for the main purpose of playing the mirrors fantasy game you are now banning me from playing. i have received no account number from you for either account.

i have now shared this experience and failing a swift satisfactory response i will be sharing it with these guys http://www.sportsbookreview.com/sbr-new ... romo-5380/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; aswell.

all i have been guilty of is opening an account to enable me to play the mirrors new fantasy football game.

i will therefore shortly be sharing this e-mail correspondence with the main fantasy football sites and also letting the daily mirror see it.

Andy Luckhurst can the mirror tell me who is licenced to run this game and whether that involves a british licence or a maltese licence as it would seem that the company handling the entries and money for them has a maltese licence.

I dunno why you guys are all getting het up. Methane, who pronounces as though he knows what he is talking about, has no concerns.

P.S. Not only as Quizking pointed out do SBR give Betway a rating of D-, they also include them on their Sportsbooks AVOID list.

I'm sticking to my one free team strategy. So let's all stop stirring the sh*t as if it really hits the fan, the sponsorship might just be withdrawn and then my one team won't get the £30,000 that I'm expecting come May.

Having just read through this thread i think its pretty clear that Methane On Titan is also working for the game.

Fully agree with Mil. Why can't people just be honest and come on here and give the heads up.

Looks like it could be a good game but its gonna fall flat on its face as its making it virtually impossible for people to put teams in and there seems to be no guarantee that any winnings would be paid.

Very very dodgy.

The Mirror really are daft. They've potentially got a great game but they are just shooting themselves in the foot before they even start just like last year.

Make it easy for people to enter a good game and they will. Make it difficult and they won't.

Isn't it only the people who already have accounts with Betway that have the problem? That won't be many in the UK though anyone who registers with Betway before registering with Mirror are the real sufferers. The Mirror hasn't made the entry process clear.

The issue is presumably that as Betway are using the game to increase accounts with them they are not interested in existing customers. In many spheres that would be normal commercial activity but unfortunately this is massive disadvantage for players of mirror game which the mirror guys clearly just haven't thought about.

It's not simple at all.

Because if you are already a Betway customer it will not let you deposit in the Mirror game. In fact their policy as it stands is to actually ban you for using duplicate accounts, even though they automatically set the second one up for you.

It's utterly insane and far from simple.
