Free team so would be rude not to oblige the organisers, brand new site, easy on the eye and has something different.
Starting XI
3 Subs
1 choice from a list of top European league strikers

Liking it so far, tempted to purchase 4 teams for 10 English pounds
Edit: Deposit and bet £10 to get 4 team credits, looks a good deal.

Re: Mirror Fantasy Football 2012/13
This is not You The Manager - the coffin went into the YTM grave last season, and this c***k of s**t represents the soil thrown on top and the fat lady singing at the subsequent wake. Who wants to set up an account with some bunch of dodgy Maltese bookies - will the 2 seasonal prize winners get any return from them?
Probably more in it for the monthly specialists - but lots of research to be done on 4 other European Leagues for those chasing the 5k per month; or maybe just a case of swapping Messi and Ronaldo in and out depending on the fixtures?

Re: Mirror Fantasy Football 2012/13
Granted that the name of the game is now Mirror Fantasy Football - but this is the YTM Forum making it, perhaps, the appropriate place to signal the end of that fine game.
The obvious pupose of this new game is to get customers for an off-shore betting operation. Looking at the T&C it seems to involve a bizzare mixture of UK and Maltese Law - so anyone with a grievance may need to take a holiday in Malta next season.
Nice Web Site, though!
...and yes, I am not in a good mood.

Re: Mirror Fantasy Football 2012/13
If it was just Malta, I wouldn't have a problem, but it's a mix of the British Virgin Islands, where several dodgy characters seem to be based, Malta, and Aldernay. Sounds like the sort of bookie favoured by Lester Piggott, Ken Dodd, and Jimmy Carr.
The odds are that they are honest enough to pay the prizes, even though they don't pay British taxes while profiting from British punters.
Not unusual behaviour in the dodgy world of finance and if it was the only opportunity to play FF, I'd do so, but as it is I'll give it a miss except for my free team.
At first glance it seems a good game.

Re: Mirror Fantasy Football 2012/13
Well it looks good to me - although i'm not keen on registering with yet another new bookie, let's face it (almost) all bookmakers are now based offshore for tax purposes, and most of these games wouldn't exist with decent prizes without the backing from sponsors. Mirror group would not like the bad publicity arriving if prizes were not paid out, I doubt that's an issue.
Good looking interface, and player prices are challenging enough not to be able to pick all the famous names.
The devil is in the detail as ever - and if almost everyone picks messi for example, then the game winner might be decided on who punts on a not so well known striker from the french league, who scores a hat-trick in a rescheduled match in february that no-one else had bothered researching. I'm looking forward to this game.

Being run by a company called 'the Marketing Implementation Company Ltd'. Virtually nothing about them.
I am yet to be convinced about using my time on this game after reading all the T&Cs and with an address in them that states:
a formal complaint may be made by writing to the Games Manager, Marketing Implementation Company Ltd, PO Box xxx xxxx
Maybe it will become clearer later

Re: Mirror Fantasy Football 2012/13
Appears to be a lot of concern surrounding the game organisation, which is perfectly understandable. I'm a sucker for pretty games but will take the advice of you guys and not open an account to make more teams.

Re: Mirror Fantasy Football 2012/13
Some people could end up with a hell of a lot of teams in this!
Will read the T&Cs later.
But on the face of it £10 for 4 teams to win a very nice monthly prize with a shot of turning a profit on the entry fees too could do be spending a lot of time looking for a top tipster in the gambling forum!!!!

2.1 All welcome bonuses must be wagered 15 times in sportsbook before any funds can be withdrawn. (And to count the bets must be evens or above ) Not the way Paddy Power used to do it

So after several bets and the punter is well in profit, is the next bet using his welcome bonus for the nth time, or is he using his own funds?7lb claimer wrote:2.1 All welcome bonuses must be wagered 15 times in sportsbook before any funds can be withdrawn. The whole thing is very unsatisfactory. Although one can of course argue that since one is only betting peanuts, it doesn't matter.
I simply don't like dealing with people who construct such nonsense even if I'm making money from them. So I'll have my free team from the Mirror, and bet with straightforward bookies such as PP.
In fact I'd rather simply pay an entry fee of £10/team than have a Betway account. Life is too short to spend seeking very small bargains.

Enjoyed what i've gotten so far for ten quid. A few punts for a small profit and 4 extra teams for a game i'm really looking forward to playing in.
Unless you have taken up the offer, you are merely just making presumptions and guesses.

Yes, so even if you don't really fancy opening a Betway account, the game is still quite attractive. I like the European League player feature, should give the game a nice added flavour.em9999 wrote:do they give you a free team every month cause thats what it says on the game game low down
From the Site:
Free team with transfers - You can register your first team completely FREE, this includes 30 transfers to use throughout the season.
Free Team every month – All registered players will be allocated an extra free team every month to help them to cash glory!

Morning all, I spoke with the Mirror lot yesterday and they eased all my concerns re. the game: (1) £100k prize pot is guaranteed, (2) GFM are running/hosting the game just operating under a different name and (3) And for those issues surronding Betway, they are a legit betting company who are well respected in Europe, (I already knew this because I asked my friend who works in the betting industry ) they are just newish to the UK market which is why some people havent heard of them...yet! http://www.bestbettingsystem.net/review ... portsbook/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.keithy007 wrote:Being run by a company called 'the Marketing Implementation Company Ltd'. Overall I think the game looks great, is simple to play plus i like the additon of the Euro striker gives the game something different compared to others. I cant grumble at the £5.5k up for grabs every month either and 4 new teams for every £10 bet is music to my ears too, basically getting paid to pay fantasy football - if i win my bets .
Anyone fancy getting in a mini league together?
